The old people in some part of Ghana are locked in homes and being punished, and some neglected until they die. The difference is that the north has camps where they send them to live together. I detest ant on these practices. I don!t believe in any witchcraft. Personally the churches who beat people up and breakdown families down south are equally wrong.

We have to come to the knowledge of the fact that, Satan came to kill, steal and destroy.
Jesus Christ came to give us life, more abundantly.
First and foremost, the soothsayers, fetish priest etc who conjure, consult oracles and pass verdict, accusing others of being witches are the real witches and wizards.
They are the very ones that blind people from coming to the knowledge of God, who is Christ our Lord.
The Scriptures says, Disobedience is like unto witchcraft. These soothsayers are, in their craftiness, opposing the things of God, and they are the witches and wizards.
They capitalize on the ignorant of many. They have their idols/gods that they consult. These idols/gods are demons (1st Chronicles 16:26).
The soothsayers evoke the names of their gods, which the Scriptures forbids(EX 23:13).
They also offer sacrifices to the idols, and these sacrifices are to the demons(1st Corinthians 10:20), NOT to any so called good spirit.
When you choose to be ignorant about the WORD of God, they will destroy your family, by creating all sorts of confusions. And when you consult the soothsayers they will tell you exactly what you want to hear.
The one who inquires from the soothsayer/fetish is as guilty as the soothsayer himself/herself, in the eyes of God.
Now, the question is: why do people still consult the soothsayer/fetish?
The answer is simply, because they can tell you things in the spirit, since the demons they deal with are also spirits. Remember, Satan counterfeits the things of God.
Satan and demons may know things in the spirit, but they do know the entire counsel of God.
Satan knows the people who operate under his umbrella; soothsayers, magicians, fetishes, clairvoyance, Ouija boards, necromancy, religions that have some form of godliness but deny the power thereof(denying the atonement of Christ).
Satan often masquerades as an angel of light.
Satan capitalizes on the ignorance of people. A Christian who compromises is also vulnerable to Satan. It is an ongoing warfare.
Now a suspected witch may utter words to confirm the claims of the soothsayer, and this is where the apparent confusion is, but the truth of the matter is that it is not the individual responsible. It is a demon in the person.
The demon is housing in the individual to perpetrate evil, often without the carnal knowledge of the
individual.
The demon manifesting in the individual is similar to the kind of manifestation that occur when the individual comes u?der the power of the Holy Ghost. When a demon is provoked by the power of the Holy Spirit, the demon manifests. When the individual is set free, he or she will even deny the unspeakable things uttered a few moments ago, because it is not about the individual, but the demon in him/her.
Therefore, what the soothsayer is exercising is a counterfeit of what God does through a man of God. That is why people who are so accustomed to these our traditional religious ways of 'fishing out witches(and they are really not witches)' mislabel Ministries engaged in deliverance. because they lack the knowledge and discernment to tell the difference.
Now, the demon manifesting in the individual, often is an idol once worshiped in the family line.
However, a soothsayer would not be able to tell you this Truth, because a kingdom divided cannot stand!
Rather the individual is erroneously labeled as a witch. The victim(demon possessed) rather become the accused.
However, a man of God will point out the identity of the demon, and cast out that demon in the name of Jesus, for if the Son sets you free, you are free indeed.
On the other hand, a soothsayer will accuse the individual as being a witch, and the person will live under that accusation, condemnation and shame.
Soothsayers cannot set anyone free; they keep people in ignorance and in bondage.
Soothsayers/fetishes are agents of Satan, misinforming(Satan misinformed Eve), accusing(Satan is the accuser of the brethren), blinding people, spiritually(the sacrifices you offer to the soothsayer is for the demons) etc.
The reason idols/demons are able to be in contact with family members is due to words spoken on alters once worshiped along the family lines. Some people in their quest for the fruits of the womb must have visited one shrine or the other, and these have their future repercussions.
Sometimes, an idol once worshiped can use the face of family members in dreams. Never make a mistake of accusing such an individual.
You are rather mandated to pray for yourself and for that person. Your prayer for that person should aim at releasing that person from the grips of the demonic influence.
If you have a family member in the camp, please, I encourage you by the Mercies of God to go to SCOAN, and everything will be taken care of. Who know? You may even manifest ,and all of you would be set free in the name of Jesus.
The soothsayers, themselves, need deliverance. They would definitely manifest and set free.
This is the grace of God at our door step, so let us take opportunity of it.

I humbly call on Nana Oyi Lithur to lead on raising a strong public opinion against these painful and agonizing tortures of human beings. It is like challenging immaculate conception when visiting a Christian community.... There are archaic belief systems but you cannot challenge people's notions of the spiritual.Rather than adopt a witch camp look into the wider root causes of poverty and poor access to health and other services.....

Congrats to you all. For the very first time I have seen and read all comments and contributions to be constructive on this forum without the trading of insults. My respect to all. It therefore meaning, we can together strive for the good of our nation by agreeing on the right things. I am here crying within myself over the abuse of these elderly people who actually needed our pity and attention and kind gesture but are rather victimized for what they know nothing about. The poor are accused of witchcraft and wizadry if there is a word like that. Who actually is a witch. The unfortunate aspect is that the real rebellious people, wicked men and women, liars, the politically greedy and on and on my list goes. Those who actually befits the status of a witch are being worshipped literally on daily basis in a fanciful manner. I am asking myself in which way I can be of help. I encourage us all to treat this subject as a matter of urgency in contributing in our own small way to help. I pray the government to step in at a time. blessings to you all.

A learned friend of mine and siblings from a prominent home near Kumasi have neglected their mother age 70+ Just because she was accused of being a witch by a stupid pastor. This poor woman was forced to confessed by torturing her. these children believe their mother is a witch and that she killed the young ones who died in their family. So this woman lives in an isolated room in the house, shit in herself and being maltreated. She is almost in prison. No grandchild is allowed near her. Is she not better in a camp where she can talk to other people? The concept of witchcraft in Africa has to addressed . In fact this stupidity is all over Africa. I am going to research this myself, not only in camps but in homes and churches too. Nigeria is one place that this practice knows no boundary.
