Every indication shows that this is no more a political group but another group of terrorist whose activities will one day be likened to other terrorist groups. No one criticizes this group. If you do you do you will be haunted with instant justice of insults, embarassment. Their utterances show they do not believe in the rule of law. But a something law that they have carved and using that to rule others. Their views are the only discerning and other views are attacked. Not even the security institutions in the country has the right to make any arrest of their members who have gone against the laws or the constitution. What is democratic about the National Democratic Congress? The founder of the NDC was a ruthless tyrant and kleptocrat.He trampled on democratic principles and rights like a pig would trample on pearls cast before it.On June 30th, 1982, he and his desperadoes masterminded the murder of 3 High Court judges and a retired major. Many ghanaians, most of whom belonged to the NPP tradition risked their lives when they took to the streets to demand a return to democracy, freedom of speech for individuals and the Press and freedom of association.
The mismanaged ghanaian economy haemorrhaged extensively under his rule. In June of 1989 his government misstepped/overreached when it banned the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the Jehovah Witnesses and another local Church for no justifiable reasons than his insatiable appetite for power.
In December of 1990 he ate humble pie by acquiescing to US demands.
In 1992 he was forced by the International community to adopt democratic rule or face sanctions.Ghana's economy was donor based and direction-less clueless Rawlings again had to yield to western demands for democracy.
From 1992 to 2000, under a so-called new democratic dispensation he used the Criminal Libel and Seditious Law to jail journalists who would not tow in line with his chaotic kleptocracy.
It was the NPP under the Kuffuor administration who repealed the Criminal Libel and Seditious Law in July of 2008, as soon as they took over the reins of government.

Now you can see if only you'll take off your tainted and opaque partisan lenses that comparing the NDC and the NPP in the rule of law and democracy is like the comparison between apples and oranges.Next time you want to talk about democracy check out your facts. The UK is far advanced in democracy and the rule of law but some of you will come back to Ghana just the same way you went there,empty, having learned nothing new.Your unchanged attitudes and perceptions after years of stay in the UK remind me of a song composed, arranged and recorded by some friends and I three decades ago in Nigeria : "As you come oh, na so you go go." Living in the UK has served you no useful purpose except perhaps gaining some pounds of weight which is something you have always yearned for.

But now we are a democratic state. So we do not have to make the same mistakes or even do worse. NPP is at the verge of committing that mistake by displaying more of hooliganism and even surpassing it just as I stated. You are full of bitterness and anger so you must vent your spleen and cause harm. That is not acceptable. put your house in order NPP. I am seeing all this from a bird's eye view but not to be condemned as some NPP members have been doing. Look at your party again Mensah and you will appreciate what I am talking about. I will never support neither NPP nor NDC period.

Ghanaweb has become a trademark platform for haters, racisits, tribalists and ethno-centric illiterates, dumb mal-educated people, and propagandists who cannot read, spell or write (in the language they choose to write in.

They view every topic and discussion from the prism of tribe first, party second and the national interest of Ghana third. They refuse to accept any objective or constructive criticism and respond with insults and abuse again based on tribe, party and others.

This is no way for a country to develop and move forward. We have got to grow out of this political and social silliness and learn to mature as a democracy to emulate other countries that started the independence journey with us; Malasia, India, etc. otherwise we are doomed to another 100 years of no progress but end up as social savages and misfits.

In 2009 the $1.6 billion in remittances exceeded the $1.5 billion from the World Bank and was 10 times the $114 million from the IMF.
