Nkrumah did well in infrastructural development, but had his faults in governance and concensus development; Kotoka, Ankrah and Akuffo's rule were short lived; Busia did well in sending the aliens packing; Limann was focused on his Union govt crap; Rawlings was not qualified, but was at the right place and does not know his left from his right; Kuffuor was qualified but a self-centered travel lover; Mills was a do-nothing, see nothing, hear nothing type; Mahama is a wind follower: whichever direction the wind is blowing there will he be. WE NEED LEADERS WITH A VISION AND THE COURAGE TO EXECUTE THAT VISION ! WE PRAY EVERY DAY FOR THAT !!

Ghana was on a downward spiral and the 31st December, 1981, Revolution reversed the spiral and put the nation on solid growth path. What Rawlings seems to forget, is the fact that, he chalked his successes because of the help of very dedicated Ghanaians. Rawlings would have been a 100% failure if he did not have certain, brains, hands, and legs who were very committed to putting Ghana on a path of recovery and growth."

Just look around and name one 'real' family member of Pres.Mills whose circumstances changed because of the presidency. His style of governance may not have appealed to some people but he had good intentions. For those of you who cannot stop insulting him, kindly remember that he has a family that is still grieving. Soldiers have come and gone, but it was the intellectuals who held reins to the programmes in the country. Nkrumah here Nkrumah there, but even in his days it was the intellectuals who helped to fail him.
  It was intellectuals who refused to set a new school for students who were dropped out due to their role in the general strikes and looting in Ghana in 1948.
  This was the reason why the CPP, was started. Today many are those who do not know that Nkrumah was "mati mihu".
  
  It was intellectuals who mismanaged the GIHOC. It is still intellectuals who control the "dumsor, dumsor" in the country. It is intellectuals who manage our no-water supply. The same who mismanage the harbours.
  
  The whole nation Ghana has no accounts book to register our incomes and expenditures.
  Things a German woman does without thinking.
  But our intellectuals believe it is work of farmers nor bricklayers!
  
  It the intellectuals who failed to teach our farmers why they grow cocoa, but instead call "mere farmers". It is intellectuals who dis-encourage efforts to build a good technical and vocational educations. It is you intellectuals who steal our money with pen power. You come to parliament demanding cars and houses before you start work. Chief Intellectual Dr. Busia!
  
  It was intellectuals who refused to consider those in Diaspora about citizenship laws in the constitution. Even Rawlings fought for us with no avail. Even before they started they spent months discussing their remuneration for designing the constitution.
  
  They do the same today, in every committee they take extra pay. It is the same people who connive with the harbour officials to steal our "cold sweated" used cheap car we sent from the diaspora to taxi for our poor mothers. The same intellectuals withheld medical doctors pays leading to the recent strikes and deaths in the Hospitals. It is intellectuals who rules the country today and Ghana is now a lawless country! Anarchy! All others should sacrifice just not the intellectual ruling class and henchmen.
  
  And when Rawlings has no "BSc, "MSc". "Phd", he refuses to steal then naturally he becomes a loner. Just like one is the devil because one does not believes in Gods. One becomes a loner.

  I hope people of Ghana will stop "bashing" JJ and forgive him for his unintended misdeeds. He came to power when the country was looking for a strong leader. God knows he was needed at the time. He was young and could have done things differently. He was a soldier, and soldiers are not normally trained to be presidents/head of states. On top of that people around him were feeding him wrongly. Yes, he grew up at South Labadi Estates. I know the stables very well because I visited there so many times. That does not define what JJ is. He is highly intelligent and I hope he can behave and transform himself as a respected elder statesman. Going forward, please let's all forgive and pray for JJ. He has good intentions about the country. I hope he can play his part and take Ghana to the highest level economically. Everybody should try and put away the "fighting and hurting" words. It's all about GHANA'S future. This is my own opinion.

  I don't agree that he is eveil.He is however, too outspoken and some times dose not use wisdom, which is the reason we should pray for him. After all he was our leader for many years and has done some good for Ghana.

Everybody like this man {excluding me} to the extent that some are prepared to sacrifice their lives for him. JJ, as he is affectionately call, is loved due to his light skin color. Some see him as a white man and his fluency with the queens language, was a mouth-watering recipe that cannot be resisted.
  
  Now, was Rawlings a good leader? Probably yes but to me, the answer is no.
  
  Anytime a soldier takes up the gun and remove any government from power, the blame should not go to the soldier but to the CIVILIANS who will troop to follow him. WHY? These civilians are nothing more than "hungry hyenas" looking for an easy kill to shred its flesh into pieces. They are the ones who dictates whatever good or bad policy to the coup leader. Imagine people like Kofi Awoonor etc, following someone like Rawlings; his hatred towards anything "Akan" will force him to come out with anything that will make him an Angel to JJ and what did we see? He forced JJ to label any rich Akan, man/woman or perceive them as corrupt and whatever they have acquired, should be destroyed or confiscated.
  
  JJ was not a miserable loner in the sense that he still have massive support in Ghana despite leaving the presidency some years ago. His followers are the ones to be blamed for the unrelenting insults on the nation. JJ, looking over his shoulders, is confident that any sign or whatever, from him, will be disaster for the nation as whole. This man with his uncouth hordes of rat-like humans, can destroy Ghana in an instant and that is why he sees himself as untouchable.
  
  The man is not a loner. During his tumulus years on the throne, he did not achieve anything that can be seen as his legacy but all those in his inner circle, became filthy rich. Look at people like PV Obeng, Totobi Kwarkye, ET Mensah who is still in active politics, John Ndebugri, Kofi Awoonor who now chairs the Council of State, are all rich.
  
  JJ, is the originator of the current rogue wave trying to capsize our ship on high sea. Why? We should remember that he ruled more than any leader in our history and due to the stinking nature of his economic policy, nothing was achieved.
  
  Folks, remember this man Kwesi Botchway! When Busia was the Prime Minister, he was at Lagon or whatever that he was at Busia's throat criticizing his economic policy. When he was given the nod to be finance Minister, what did we see? Their structural adjustment program, doomed the nation and its repercussion is visible as we speak.
