  There are two things that neutrals such as myself have stood on:
  1. Do not vilify, insult, humiliate or attempt to tarnish other people's name or reputation just because you feel aggrieved by a major loss in a contest that you felt 'sure' to win. I have therefore joined the likes of you to 'defend' and argue against attempts to castigate Dr Afari Gyan purely on principle. I believe that stance has to a very large extent been vindicated and given the clarity and authoritative nature of his testimony and its consistency in demonstrating his (and the EC's) structure and function, I have no reason to feel that defending such an innocent man was misplaced.
  
  2. Disrespecting the president and the office of the president as we have seen over the last 6 months was something to defend and protect for the sake of our democracy and a sense of patriotic duty.
  
  I have read and wholly supported your own articles on why you believe the president won the last elections fairly and cleanly and cannot add to that. My beef with his detractors and those who hurl cheap insults is - even if you do not like HIM, his party or the fact that he has been DECLARED winner of the elections, why would you go on a journey of trying to make him look stupid, inadequate, incompetent and (to add insult to injury) irresponsible (by posting a false video suggesting that he was a deviant abusing his office!).
  
  3. I will argue on the basis of fairness and neutrality on our democracy and call the shots as I see them without favour or fear.
  
  I will therefore say it if I feel the NPP is wrong and the NDC is right. However others choose to interpret such stance is up to them, and whatever names people choose to call me - NDC, etc. etc. etc. really doesn't phase me and neither does it do you, Kofi. I am glad we take a stand which is fair, objective and balanced (irrespective of what our individual leanings are).
  
  I have made it clear that I am an Nkrumaist but do not belong to any party. However that does not mean that if the NPP has good policies, programmes and a well balanced and good ONE-NATION agenda, I will not support them. I surely will, and as long as a party sees the nation as OURS (collective) and seeks to promote national unity and empowerment for our development, irrespective of the colour of the party, I will support it. Sadly, the "hardliners" in the NPP do not give the likes of me that level of confidence and comfort that they are of that mould. I cannot support a party which allows its members to go wild and stand on what amounts to 'fascist' platforms to make their case to the Ghanaian people. For me, it simply does not wash and also does not advance our democracy, and certainly will not have my support.
  
  I have posted various comments of advice for the CPP (for which I was attacked by one particular individual who seems to think that Nkrumaism is "an ideology"). He even branded me an "NDC opportunist" when in fact, the NDC probably does not even know about my existence!!!
  
  I have also suggested what the NPP needs to do to improve its image and political fortunes (just as you are trying to do here). Similarly I have pointed out some of the ills in the NDC and where I think they are getting things wrong and what they should be doing to set things right. Why do we do these things? Simply because we love our country and wish its success, whoever is running it.
  
  The big question is: Is anyone taking notice? and will the NPP recognise that it has extremist elements who are at the heart of their leadership and ruining their electoral chances? They seem to have a collection of 'youngish' so-called "communications spokespersons" who cannot stop churning out vitriolic and grease without sparing us even a thought!! Some of them seem to think that just because they have access to the media and can go on it 24/7, they have the right within a "democracy" to say or do anything without having to answer for it. They make it their business to attack ALL without reservation and have not spared their own "aptriots", calling them "traitors, irrelevant, deranged" etc. Now they are even suspending some of them because they think that is "discipline. How do you "discipline others when you are not disciplined yourself?
  
  I hope some day soon a serious group within the NPP will rise up and let everyone know the status quo ante cannot, and will not do!!!

  These sore losers were very much aware of what the were about when they 'tricked' the NEC,including these so-called "moderates" you are counting on,to 'hamstring' any potential "trouble-makers" at the outset! It is too late for those you are counting on, to extricate themselves from this notion of 'we are all in this together' strategy.

What would you be saying if the NPP had taken to the streets to demand justice ?Where were you Kofi Thompson, when the NDC leadership and their footsoldiers besieged the offices of the Electoral Commission in 2008 chanting war songs and demanded their candidate Atta Mills be declared the winner else they will cause a Kenya-like mayhem in Ghana? That was even more despicable, barbaric and undemocratic!Were you tongue tied then? If the NPP had followed the NDC 2008 bad example you'd be speaking today from the same side of your mouth condemning the party. Kofi, you can't fool us anymore.Your partisan support for the NDC is no longer a secret. Leave the Supreme Court Judges to do their job.Deliberating on this issue is one of the many reasons we pay them fat salaries and benefits.Leave the NPP alone if you are not going to commend them for choosing what's noble, just and legal by our constitution. NPP does not need your tainted advice in taking a course thats supported by a constitution that we all swear to uphold. If you want to pick a fight then it's certainly not with the NPP. Your opponent I think must be the constitution of Ghana.
