Did you hear the spurrious arguments Kweku Baako and Ayikoi Otoo made yesterday,suggesting that the set of pink sheets in the custody of the presiding judge,Justice Atuguba,is compromised because it was not "quarantined", as though the sheets had somehow been 'infected' with some dangerous toxins! having supported this strange stance,Ayikoi Otoo, a fmr. Atty-General in the previous NPP administration,then goes on to make an even more bizarre statement that since the CJ bestowed the same authority on all the nine Justices on the panel,all the pink sheets in the custody of each of them should also be counted,thus insinuating that Atuguba could not be trusted,and that by so doing, the so-called element of compromise would have 'evaporated' into thin air! Can Ghana 'win' with people who think and behave in this way?

You want people to believe you, but you always create your own stories and splash them all over the place. Did you hear Addison remark that KPMG had submitted their initial draft of the auditing to the parties to check? How could they have done that if they had participated in the decision to count Atuguba's pink sheets? Or, that piece of yours about the KPMG boss flying in all the way from from South Africa was just a diversion?
Could you explain why Atuguba never mentioned a word about the control pink sheets when he initially instructed KPMG to do the counting a couple of weeks back? As a court judge his own court records of that do could confirm this. And also, that it was Tsatsu who first came up with this idea of control?
By the way, NPP never supplied any consignment to NDC, EC or Mahama; they were all supplied by the registrar. So you may say the registrar is an NPP sympathizer, so he decided to help NPP by short changing Mahama and NDC. You will remember that the EC complained about shortages from the onset, and they were promptly supplied with the difference. This presupposes that the registrar, them the EC, NDC and Mahama team would all have checked and signed for their delivery. I would say the NDC and President Mahama camps were so daft that they did not check the initial supply before signing for them, not even after the EC would have alerted them of their own experience. These are the people who are supposed to be leading the nation! No way. All change fellow Ghanaians.
Just as an after thought: How do you explain Tsatsu's refusal to tell the court exactly or even roughly how many pink sheets he was claiming to have received when he was cross examining Bawumiah? This was a man who was claiming that the court should help him get the shortage of pink sheets that had been withheld from him, but was adamant he would not tell the court how many more he was expecting. Was that part of the rudiments of law, or was it dishonesty on Tsatsu's part? Little wonder he was jailed once for thieving!

The very late designation of Atuguba's copies as 'control' copies is a misnomer! First the exhibits were handed over in bulk to the Registry for distribution. None of them were marked as 'control' and especially those going to Atuguba.

What valid scientific interpretation would be put on events if the so-called 'control' tends to be different? None because they would not be independent since they were filed and supplied at the same Registry. Had the Petitioners filed a single copy from which copies were made, and the originals initially marked control and isolated, the Respondents would have had a case.

In how the exhibits have been handled, if there were to be a shortfall in the number, the NPP cannot be held liable but the very court that granted this ridiculous variation to its own earlier order. The Court rather than the NPP would be faced with explaining this turn of events.

In science, you cannot label something 'control' without indicating so 'a priori'. A control copy should be handled differently. They should be labelled so, isolated as well as differently guarded and protected from the rest. So why try to create a control copy out of something, which was not intially designated and handled as such? The court is on a hiding to nothing and could bring itself into disrepute.

The Court needed data analysts to advice it, otherwise it would end up ridiculing itself. It is my take that whatever the outcome of this so called 'control' audit, no valid scientific conclusions can be drawn from it. The Respondents are barking up the wrong tree and the Court has fallen for their antics!

The exhibits were sent to the Registry and they were accepted as such. The Respondents received their copies and they never complained that they did not receive all the exhibits until much later. The service was refused in the first instance because the respondents then claimed that they were not complete. They accepted when they assured themselves that they were complete.

If you followed Dr Bawumia's cross-examination, he said that they submitted 11,842 distinct pink sheets. He accepted the possible duplications and said that if that were to be the case, then there would be more than 11,842 physical pink sheets. That is what has been found. The question you have to ask is, if the duplications (due to pacakaging errors) are removed, do we have 11,842 distinct pink sheets? If this is found, then what is all the fuss about? Have you considered the possibility that the Registry rather messed up the packaging done by the petitioners hence resulting in the situation where duplications have occurred with some parties and shortfalls with others?
This is much ado about nothing. For instance, the NDC claimed that they attached 7,200 affidavits but turned out that they submitted far less than that. Can you then go on from this to accuse them of deception? I do not think so. If Addison had not brought this up with Asiedu Nketia, no one would have been the wiser.

I suppose when counsels for the respondents revealed in open court that the exhibits(from the petitioners) Aseidu Nketia was confronted with by Philip Addison,the petitioners` lead attorney was totally differnt from those that they(the lawyers for the respondents had been served with. Do we need a "scientific" experiment to figure out that something very funny,or to borrow Tonh Lithur`s language,"unethical" is taking place in these proceedings? And thus to suggest that,"The Respondents are barking up the wrong tree and the Court has fallen for their antics!" speaks volumes to your own openning sentence in your comment! Contrary to your 'jaundiced' view as to what actually transpired in chambers the variation in the court`s 'initial' order cannot be described as "ridiculous",save those who worship at the feet of Philip Addison!

If you did not initially level something as 'control' and treat and handle it as such, the designation does not hold. Can't you foresee the problems any different outcome from the Registry's pose? The Respondents want to impugn the integrity of the Registrar. what stops the Petitioners from impugning the integrity of Justice Atuguba if his copies are different? After all it is the same court whose registrar is being impugned? My friend don't read politics into every contribution but at times one has to think things through. If we are not careful we may destroy the last bastion of our democracy. This is more my concern.

The problem with the leadership and some sections of the NPP is that you keep repeating lies till you begin to believe them. You have gone on about elections being rigged without adducing any proper evidence to that effect. You have vilified Dr Afari-Gyan and President Mahama as thieves without a shred of evidence.

You can continue to live in cloud-cuckoo land, but the truth will out eventually.
