If K's dissent is only self serving, then you're right. But if it aims at improving systems and society, then he needs to be regarded as a person who has great love for his party because he expresses his concern for it's foibles. He would seem to be independent-minded, a leader who molds public opinion rather than merely reflect its temperature.
But I have no personal knowledge of K, and I'm only deducing from the logic, or lack thereof, of your article

Ernest, clearly, responding to Dr Arthur K's outspoken but genuine criticism of NPP's leadership with such very personal attack in an attempt to portray him[Arthur K] as a bitter traitor, raises questions about tolerance in NPP and exposes your deeply demeaning attitude towards him. Arthur K's 'Satanic Verses' indeed! So, his genuine criticism of the party's leadership [the Mullahs] is equated with 'blasphemy', hence, calls for 'Fatwa' against him? You may disagree with him or dislike him for not 'toeing the party line' but to amplify and focus on his personal life is very unjust and truly pathetic!

NPP should stop such extreme over reaction and the barrage of personal attacks on party loyalists/supporters who dare criticise the party's stance on certain issues or the party's ineffectual leadership.

These people are not democrats,but simpy want to use the 'cover' the term provides to gain power!
Is it not amazing that a "fellow traveller" like this writer,who claims to be a high school chum of Art K(presumably at Osei Kyeretwei) will launch such an unwarranted personal attack on him? I do not know what this Addae-Bosompra has done for himself in life,but I have a feeling the bitterness and envy he is attributing to his old school mate,describes his own personality.
And though I do not know his stadinding within the NPP, I think mimicking the views of people like P.C Appiah Ofori,tells me he is a 'nobody' and is "clueless" about the goings-on in the NPP! I mean whoever gave this guy the idea that Akuffo Addo is ready to step aside anytime soon,to allow Bawumiah,a 'yesterday`s child', to take over control of the NPP? For his information,Bawumiah comes from a CPP turned NDC family;and has not travelled any distance on any "long road" in the party! It was through his late father,Mumuni Bawumiah,and the help of Dr. Kwabena Duffour,the immediate past Minister of Finance, that he landed the plum job at BOG!
Before that, he was a low-ranking faculty member(Asst Prof) at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, in Canada. I will urge Addae-Bosompra to go back and confer with his sources before making declarations on matters he is obvoiusly not well-informed about!
