The problem with Okoampa is that his language seems to be stuck in the Victorian age. This is just one example. Other examples are seen in his punctuations - something he prides himself on knowing so knowleadgeable in that he corrects others when he quotes them. But the language is changing. These changes are reflected even in the best modern British journalism. Okoampa is not aware of how certain usages, hitherto deemed incorrect, are now increasingly becoming acceptable. Modern usage is leaving Okoampa behind.
