Why blaming the chiefs you should also blame our foolish soldiers and policemen who take delight in brutalising citicens on behalf of the corrupt government officials and the foreigners. I wonder whether these soldiers and police officers think like normal human beings. This doesn't happen anywhere in the world except Ghana where our soldiers and police are still primitive.

Mr. President Mahama, please listen to your constituents. We Ghanaians are fed up with the free access you've given to Chinese to our mineral resources, and our lands. Mr. President, are you so naïve you don't know what to do about the issues that Ghanaians are concerned about? Please, you are the President, wake up and prove yourself to Ghanaians. Keep Chinese from our endowed mineral resources and our indigenous businesses. Please, Mr. President, we, Ghanaians look up to you to do the right thing.

A very brilliant, scholastic write-up that couldn't have been written any better than this. I was almost moved to tears, kudos to you, Kofi Owusu-Ansah. Why government can't handle this sickening problem beats my imagination. What kind of leaders do we have on hand? It's a stupid, crazy, nonsensical scenario to have 275 so-called lawmakers in parliament, and all they rather do is make request for huge fat salaries, and then look on sheepishly as their people are chased away from the very land on which they earn their livelihood. They don't have the people's interests at heart, yet claim they're representing the interests of the people. I pray that Mahama pays credence to this your open letter to him, because of the way the hard facts have been laid bare, as if he's not even aware of the nefarious activities of these Chinese miners and the brutalities being meted out to innocent indigenes. I feel so infuriated about this issue because these guys know that in China you can't even kill a fly, so why are they doing it in Ghana? Well as usual, it's always "myself and family first before country" syndrome. Our leaders are completely insensitive and corrupt and nepotic. Simply put, should any member from Mahama's family die on any of these disputed land, immediate action would be taken to curb it. Let Mahama act now if he thinks he's not panic-stricken because of the unfolding events in the on-going electoral petition which is showing that he'll lose. He knows it's a stolen verdict, period!

Mr. Kofi Owusu-Ansah, first of all both Christian and Islamic priests tell us that what the people of Ghana have on their land is not theirs, that our treasure is in heaven. Thus the priests of the Abram religions are happy when foreigners take what belongs to Ghanaians from them.
Tell me when a priest of the Abraham religion mourn about the lost of both our natural and human resources.
The Bible was brought to Africa to serve the interest of Europe and the Caucasian race.
We have no information that President John Dramani Mahama instructed the Lands Commission to sale any portion of state land to any Chinese company or individual. Thus Mr. Kofi Owusu-Ansah what you wrote here is speculation at its best and we may say that you have some hallucination or illusion.

Hi Kwame, i hope you are feeling better after your lousy comment. I feel like you are a living dead. you have eyes that cannot see. Did you even read the letter before commenting. The writer did not say the president instructed any body, that is not what was said, rather the president and his executives should be capable of interceeding on the people's behalf. What Ghana need is people who are able to make constructive comments to ginger the government and put him on his toes, not to remind as of how foolish we are. If my great grand mother and yours were foolish, it does not give you any course to act foolish too. If you think yourself as foolish, keep it that way and don't insult the rest of the good people of our dear land. I know this generation Can, and i believe in it. We all believe.

Just as one Kutu Acheampong set Ghana's development back 50 years, the Chinese menace that has been visited on rural Ghana is all down to one person - Wofa Atta Mills. He foolishly promised to legalise 'galamssey', if he was elected in 2008, and did just that.
By 2008, even the small scale indigenous galamssey with hoe and shovel was beginning to create havoc in the Tarkwa, Bogosu, Dunkwa, Obuasi and Konongo areas. With the open sesame of the new policy, the Chinese flooded in like ants, using our clueless village chiefs and corrupt civil servants at immigration, Lands Department, Minerals Commission and the Chamber of Mines, to wreck havoc on our lands and water bodies.
A hopeless president who will pay 300 million for 50 "Nkomfem and 300 eggs", will just about sanction anything. If this guy remains president by the end of 2013, we might as well say goodbye to Ghana.
That is why I still cry for my beloved country!

Thanks for your interesting letter. Brother, we should blame ourselves. who has been crowning chiefs and queens to foreigners on our native lands in Ghana?. Who gave the Liberian refugees the power to sell lands in Ghana. Foreigners in Ghana today have more powers than the native indigenous people of Ghana, all because the so call leaders are corrupt and they have collaborated with the aliens. Go to china and see how they treat foreigners especially Africans. Its about time Africans, particularly Ghanaians treat the fair coloured people as second to God. I had lived among them and have married some of them and believe it or not we Africans should count ourselves as blessed. How many Africans will ever have sex with animals?, but that is part of their culture and why should we adore them as superior over us on our own land. Well something to think about and we should remember that all those in power rig votes, so no matter what, we cannot vote them out but in a real world, the ballot box f determines a leader of choice but unfortunately Africa is the opposite.
