Late Gen. Murtala Mohammed remains the best and most respected Nigerian and African leader ever! Gen. Murtala falls in the group of honorable african leaders like Dr. Nkrumah, Nelson Mandela, Sekou Toure, Amilcar Cabral, Patrice Lumumba, Julius Nyerere, etc. He is one of the few african leaders honoured across the continent. He has landmarks named after him in Namibia, Angola, Mozambique, and other places. In Nigeria, there is the Murtala Mohammed Int. Airport, Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital, Murtala Mohammed Garden, Murtala Muhammed expressway, annual Murtal Mohammed memorial lectures, etc. The 20-naira note is adorned with face of this gallant and brilliant soldier. But why is this man who was assasinated after only 6 months in office so loved by not only nigerians but africans? He was a special person. Charismatic, intelligent, gallant, clean, and above all a lover of africa. It is said that it was only in Muritala's time that nigerians arrived at their offices on time!!He never tolerated mediocracy and corruption! He won the civil war for nigeria and when he was assassinated, Gen. Muritala had onlt 7 naira in his bank account! Gen. Murtal had never travelled in a convey because he thought it was a waste of resources for a country like nigeria and travelled in only his car with one bodyguard! No house for even his family. His mother lived in the wretched family house he grew up. It was thanks to Obasanjo that his children got educated. Like most heroes, he is continually mourned 37 years after that fateful friday, february 13th 1976, when the bright light was extinguished at the age of 38.

In addition, God save you if you believe in a BAIL LAWYER who recently stated that "TSATSU TSIKATA'S CROSS- EXAMINATION QUESTIONS OF DR. BAWUMIA WERE WRITTEN FOR HIM BY MR. ASIEDU NKETIA".
