The fact that they have ended their retirement does not mean they will get automatic invitation to the Blackstars.

First, it was wrong for Mahama to meddle in Footbal matters.

Secondly, the Ayew brothers should have written a letter to the Blackstars Technical staff making themselves available for selection.

Third and this is my personal view. Whilst Dede might be an automatic selection, Jordan is not a Blackstar material at the moment and the same problem that led to their retirement might happen again because I can't see Coach Appiah dropping any of the Blackstars strikers for Jordan Ayew.

Kwesi Appiah should be a man and put his foot down and not invite Jordan to make Mahama happy. Mahama can appoint Jordan to his cabinet but he cannot force him on Coach Appiah, he is not a Blackstars material.

If some people plot to destroy me, I would not only disrespect them, I would like to destroy them before they destroy me. AA and his gang were lucky that they were dealing with a gentleman and not somebody like Mario Balotelli, who would have punched them the foolish coach out.

Prior to displaying his so-called “disrespect” to that GFA puppet coach, I saw a young French national answered every call-up for his dad’s country; played his heart out in every game; led a very disciplined team to win the U-20WORLD CUP for his dad’s country; and, with the exception of the last qualifier, responded to every call-up to help put Ghana where she is now.
So, what are your problems with the Ayews? Maybe, you would find the answers with the GFA, not the Ayew family, who has contributed a lot toward the development of soccer in Ghana—starting with their Ghanaian grand-uncle to these young French nationals.

If somebody is going to bring any division to the Black Stars, it would be the tribalistic and corrupt members of the GFA and their technical team.

Furthermore, they don’t have to be promised the captain’s band to return, just like others. Appiah could still refuse to play them. They have just made themselves available for selection.

Dede have already made it to a World Cup. In fact, he had already won a world cup, albeit U-20 world cup. But, even in the senior world cup he established himself as one of the top players in the tournament. Just google “best moves” of the SA 2010 and you would see a couple of videos of him.

You people should just stop hating this guy.

They weren't coerced to retire from the team. If you choose to call the reaction of the public as 'hate' then don't raise any eyebrows when I call their decision to turn their backs on their country 'treason'.
The unhealthy precedence was set about 20 years ago and the man at the center of it all was none other than the dad of these two petulant kids.It had to take the intervention of some members of parliament before Abedi Ayew rescinded his retirement decision.
What we are dealing with in regard with these kids is no mere co-incidence. Narcissism runs through the Ayew family.
The national senior football team is not an unruly mob. It's supposed to be a collection of patriotic sportsmen who wear the national colors in international competitions to make the nation proud.They consider the opportunity as a national call to duty. It's something they cherish doing and they do it with a sense of pride and honor.
Ghana is bigger than any player and any attempt to hold the nation to ransom must be resisted. The Ayews or any other players must understand that they need the national team more than the nation needs them. We can let sleeping dogs lie as has been demontrated but they'd first have to apologize to the nation and their fellow players before they are re-admitted to the team. We love them but they must learn to conduct themselves appropriately.If they feel bigger than Ghana then we don't need them but I don't think this is how they're feeling right now. You're being the wrong advocate for them and I'm sure they will reject you and your counsel outright.

Essien played many good games for ghana Yet when he got injured in the african cup what happened? Ghana shipped his ass back to chelsea for treatment. GFA might not have even followed up to check on his recovery? Yet at the same time GFA had time and money to fly around europe chasing unpatriotic players like balletolli just to convince him to play for ghana. When Dede was playing the african cup with a shoulder injury for ghana did any of you ever consider the risk that another injury on that same shoulder could end his career? When Jordan, one of the youngest players in the same tournament was playing his heart out like every other grown ass black stars player on the field and attracting all those "career ending" hard tackles that most players will shy away from and give the ball away, was he begged to play that way? When Kevin had that thigh injury in the world cup yet forced himself to play our next game risking himself for ghana(**what if another injury occurred on that same thigh and ended his career?**) was he being ungrateful or using Ghana? Would you have remembered kevins sacrifice for ghana if that injury had ended his career? Once again did the GFA followed up on that injury after the world cup? Look let's stop all this we don't need them bullshit we sound very backward and ungrateful sometimes. When you go shopping, among all the open shops don't you chose where, when and what to buy ? So if the owner of the shop you choose gives you a bad deal/transaction, will you keep going there because the owner comes from your hometown(In the name of patriotism)? Ahaa!! Secondly, I know for a fact that if all odds goes against us in the lesotho match, and the Ghana vs Zambia match in kumasi will be the final decider for us to make it to the world cup, these same ghanaians saying we don't need ayews,essien and kevin will start begging and shouting for coach Appiah to call ayews,essien and kevin for the zambia match. LOOk, the ayews,essien and kevin have already made it they play in top leagues, they didn't and still won't loose anything not playing for ghana, but Ghana stand a greater chance of winning the world cup if they really play their hearts out for Ghana.You just wait till some of these black stars current squad achieve the feat of the kevin,essien,ayews then you can compare their attitude. Let's be grateful for their return that is if even they all do return and stop the backward thinking, Ghana must win the 2014 world cup by any means necessary!!!!!!!!!!Great job Mr. President. Believe it or not the operation is sophisticated. These gentlemen are paid and insured. They know that if they get a career ending injury there is a solid Lloyds of London backed policy to take care of them for life. Think about it. These guys would not come and play for Ghana just to be patriotic. If they chose to retire there are other players looking to be paid who can be insured for less!! Better for the GFA. Less insurance costs.

Ayews and others who attempted to hold GFA to ransom by quitting international duty for Ghana, were able to point out the need to take a serious look at football administration and practices in Ghana. This was helpful. However, the Ayews and like minded individuals were impulsive in choosing to quit Black Stars duty rather than to engage in dialogue and problem solving. These are extremely selfish and inward looking individuals who insulted the goodwill and brand name of Ghana Black Stars - something created well before even their legendary father Abedi came to the scene. When you don the Black Stars jersey at the FIFA world cup, it is as big as getting an advertizing slot during the super bowl in the USA, or during the marquee event called the Olympic Games. These are huge perks that should only be reserved for Ghanaian players who are willing, loyal and able to rise above selfish interests to play for Ghana. Those who broke faith with the Ghana Black Stars must step aside for the coalition of the willing to continue their work.

I think dissident and narcissist would be a more fitting description of the entire Ayew family whose stock in trade is holding the nation to ransom when it feeds their bloated egos.They need the nation more than the nation needs them.It's every patriotic athlete/sportsman's dream to represent his/her country at international competitions and whenever they turn their back on their country it's a horrifying act next to treason.We respect the choices they make but they're responsible for those choices and we should not allow them to hold us for ransom. In the 1990s it took the intervention of some members of the legislature before Abedi Ayew rescinded his decision to retire from the BS.About 20 years later it has to take the intervention of the sports minister and the president before the dissident narcissist Ayew sons rescind their retirement decision. We have to be very careful here because this is a dangerous precedence that's unsustainable. When Kevin was picked for WC 2010 people said "he is not a true Ghanaian". Now some think that they are so great that they must be allowed back. Football involves chemistry. It is not plug and play. I can objectively say that at WC 2010, Dede and KPB were probably the most important players. However, there are new players coming up. Rabiu and Mubarak are the core of the team right now and Gyan, Muntari and Vorsah give the veteran leadership. Let us stick with those players.

Andre and Jordan are yet to reach their peak but they are highly skillful players whose inclusion in the team serves greater than liability that some short sighted observers have expressed.
