Ghanaian women are not serious. whether we like it or not there are already giants in the field of power and so if Ghanaian women want to fight for their rights and empowerment it is important they start from the basics rather than from the top. The 2012 FAO report on Ghana recommended that polytechnic education should be used to reduce poverty in the rural areas of Ghana since it provides demand driven knowledge. This is a very important suggestion but unfortunately our women folks have decided to ignore it. This makes me believe that all the noise being made by our so called women advocates is just a ploy to enable them use short cuts to the top. It is this unseriousness that makes successive governments pay lips service to women empowerment.
