Please politicians, learn and grow, there are more important things to fight for in live than material things. Nkrumah, Mandela, Obama, Martin Luther King etc have an enviable legacy, what about you?

u've got very short memory.1st of all,ghana is one of the most talented nations wen it comes to football.
not a lot of countries you see football played on every street corner,every park everyday all over the country.
we've got so much talent and its not coincident we've carried Africa single handed durin the previous world cups.
that is why
we could ave got this far easily even without a coach.i know a lot of Ghanaians would want to eat me up right now,but its just the fact.
this man is got away with it so far so everyone all of a sudden have 4gotten wot a shit coach he is.
senior players already getting angry to be substituted alone goes to show this man dnt ave full authority in the dressin room,like I said I always want Ghana to do well but theres not a lot of strength in this man and we'll see the reflection clearly if we do qualify 4 the world cup and playin against teams like argentina,spain,italy or England.

Ayews, Essien, Muntari and players abroad who feature in the national team started from Ghana and were coached by local coaches. I think you a re blinded by your knowledge because those foreign coaches make you think they have made our players better, meanwhile they were better before they came to offer them places in their clubs. Every coach is nothing if his team sucks that's why coaches go around the world recruiting good players not bad ones. Appiah is as good as any other coach. If you think Ghanaians are blinded by tribalism, then you are blinded by racism. If you can reason well, you will know that Appiah is one of the coaches who doesn't care a player's professionalism and always try to do something with the players he gets hold of. Tell Barca, Real Madrid, Man United, AC and all the big teams' coaches to retire all their first team players and see what happens. Some Coaches even get fired for dropping an important player of the team even if he won. Be careful of your speech because this is a game and not politics. Don't be brain washed, my friend in USA. (LOL)

Your so called carpenter turned coaches(50K per month salaries) never introduced any new talents. they just relied solely on Sellas Tetteh's groomed players. Let's Throw our support for Coach Appiah. he is one of our own. He is not there yet. He will go through the rudiments of the game and come out successfull with a winsome national team. Kwesi Appiah is paid alright but understand that he is working with a bunch of indiscipline professional players who are constantly demanding for respect instead of earning. If a Ghanaian like you don't support him but always want him to flop, then I guess you will be the person to decapitate him. Why do we always demean ourselves instead of feeling confident in our color? We have always placed men without color before us; thinking we are inferior and have to succumb to their supremacy. Yaw, I guess you are not fit to be a manager or supervisor in a company or any institution full of blacks because you are timid and scared of failing.(LOL). Kwesi Appiah can do better with our support and by God's grace, he will make it in our hearts. Regardless of what hypocritical Ghanaians think and demand, his success will supersede your imagination. Most people criticized the coach after the failed campaign in South Africa where Mr. Appiah showed his lack of superior skill as a coach and the fiasco he brought upon himself with the Ayews which was uncalled for. The team is doing well now but its still not the best for the big stage. I hope to see him succeed and that means doing what is best for the best interest of the nation and not allow him personal feeling and pressure from others direct his decisions.

it is rather unfortunate that mr price chose to make imputations to racism in this matter. mr appiah's woes is buried deep in his individual qualities - his judgement and the decision he makes on and off the field, and how he performs under pressure.. while the number of matches he wins may count for something, it is not a redeeming factor. the qualities he brings to bear on the cohesiveness of the team is as important. if football has ever been your passion, you will quickly know that mr appiah has not exhibited or hinted of any of the strengths of a good coach. thank God he has some good players to counter his weaknesses!

Ghanaians are consistent about what they want: VICTORY. Ghanaians want Black Stars victory and not a foreign coach or a local coach.
Any person who has been given the Black Stars to coach, must seize the moment and demonstrate that "victory is certain". Akwasi Appiah has now become the "beloved" coach because the signs are now there for all to see that, he is taking Black Stars to Brazil. Everything will change drastically the moment this expectation is shattered (God forbid).
I don't think Ghanaians are racist about who to coach the Blacks Stars that they would prefer a foreign coach to a Ghanaian coach or vice versa. What they are looking for is victory for Black Stars and whoever (coach or player) gives them is their beloved. This is a good way to think in a global village.
