The objectives of the formation/setting up of CHRAJ on July 6, 1993 were very noble and right and gave hope to every ghanaian.A new democratic dispensation had just been ushered in courtesy of its insistence by some powerful western donor nations.
According to its charter, the President acting on the advice of the Council of State appoints the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioners. Under Act 456, CHRAJ is empowered among other things to investigate complaints concerning the functioning of the Public Services,the Administrative organs of state,the Armed Forces,the Police and Prisons Services, and to investigate all instances of alleged or suspected corruption and the misappropriation of monies by officials.
We all understand Ghana Politics. Every appointment made by the President means another job for the boys. The loyalty of those so appointed is never to the state but to the President. As stipulated in its charter, the President makes the appointments of its commissioners acting on the advice of the Council of State. Who in Ghana does not know the COS is just another arm of the President. What's worse,the council members don't hide their party affiliation and just before the 2012 elections many of them were sighted on NDC political platforms campaigning for the President. How do we expect fairness from such a body?

CHRAJ has turned out to be a toothless bulldog or if you may, a white elephant. Since its setting up 20 years ago how often have they justified the purposes for its creation? None, as far as I can recollect. We are not stupid. What else do we expect CHRAJ to say than to declare the conduct of the 2012 elections as free and fair when its commissioner and deputies were all appointed by the President acting on the advice of another dysfunctional state organization dubbed the council of state? Until we stop fooling ourselves we will continue to be stuck in the mud whilst in reverse. CHRAJ cannot be truthful. Heads will roll when CHRAJ officials attempt to do what's right according to their constitutional mandate and since resignation is a taboo word in Ghana we should never expect to hear of CHRAJ resignations until a great miracle happens to change the strange and weird order of things in Ghana.Until that day CHRAJ will continue to be a bulldog/white elephant serving no useful purpose to the people of Ghana for whom it was created.

TO RESPECTFULLY STATE IN THE BEST INTEREST OF JUSTICE, FAIRNESS AND THE PROTECTION OF THE RULE OF LAW THAT I PERSONALLY HAVE FULL FAITH, TRUST AND CONFIDENCE IN GHANA SUPREME COURT AT THE END OF IT ALL TO DO JUSTICE.
THAT THE LEGAL RAMIFICATIONS OF THE 2012 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS PETITION CHALLENGE ITSELF IS "A QUESTION OF LAW AND NOT EVALUATIONS OF PINK SHEETS".

THAT THE ISSUES BEFORE THE SUPREME COURT DETERMINATIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
(1) WHETHER OR NOT A SITTING PRESIDENT OF GHANA WHILE IN OFFICE SEEKING RE-ELECTION IS/WAS THE CLASS OF CATEGORY CONTEMPLATED BY THE FRAMERS OF GHANA 1992 CONSTITUTION UNDER ARTICLE64 CLAUSES i AND ii ?
(2)WHETHER OR NOT ARTICLE 57 CLAUSES 4,5 & 6 READING THEM TOGETHER ACTED AS OUSTER CLAUSE TO ARTICLE 64 OF THE CLASS OF CATEGORY OF A SITTING PRESIDENT OF GHANA SEEKING RE-ELECTION AND ALSO WINS OR WON THE ELECTION?
(3) WHETHER OR NOT THE RELIEF(S) BEING SOUGHT BY THE PETITIONERS UNDER ARTICLE 64 THE SUPREME COURT HAS THE CONSTITUTIONAL AUTHORITY TO ANNUL 6.4 MILLION VOTES THEREABOUT AND ALSO TO DECLARE THE FIRST PETITIONER NPP 2012 PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE NANA AKUFO ADDO AS PRESIDENT OF GHANA?
HAS THE SUPREME COURT CLOTH WITH SUCH CONSTITUTIONAL AUTHORITY?
(4) WHETHER OR NOT THE PURPORTED MISTAKES BEING POSTULATED IN HYPOTHETICAL CASES CAN BE TESTED IN THE LAW COURT?
(5) WHETHER OR NOT IF A MAKER OF DOCUMENTS OR THE PINK SHEETS MADE A MISTAKE(S) ON THE FACE OF THE RECORDS CAN OR COULD THE COURT OR THE SUPREME COURT BE PURPORTED TO CURE SUCH DEFECTS? OR TO REMAND THE RECORDS BACK TO THE PREPARER TO CURE SUCH DEFECTS?

The question to this writer is:

If one makes a mistake and aims his gun at another person and shoots, and the person who is shot dies, what has the one who shot the gun done?

Has he not killed by mistake?

In law,

it is then the duty of the court to decide whether the mistake( action) is a premeditated or a first 'degree murder' or a manslaughter'

But, whatever the outcome,

The person made a mistake , shot his gun and killed.
