Ghana is bigger than NPP or NDC; Mahama or Akuffo Addo. We our children the responsibility of keeping the country together, no matter what. So let's temper our biases and speak and pray for peace.
The problems of Ghana are not going to solved by Mahama or Akuffo Addo. The challenges Ghana faces will be solved by ordinary hardworking Ghanaians. Let us create the best atmosphere for them. In a few years this case will lose its significance. Life must go on.

Reading in between the lines unfortunately reveals your fictitious wish and that is for your next of kin, Nana Akufo Addo be declared as validly elected. It aslo appears as though you and the petitioners are jittery now that The KPMG report has shown that your claim about the number of pink sheets served was just a fallacy. You see Gabby, to annul almost halv of the votes cast to make your cousin the president of Ghana or even re-run the elections requires solid, insurmountable and incontrovertible evidence of irregularities, malpractices, statutory violations etc. Unfortunately, the petitioners, whose camp you belong, lack this evidence but are rather resorting to administrative errors to make their case and thus, confirming that the case is unmeritorious and brought in BAD FAITH. I'd rather you advise your cousin withdraw this case before the final verdict which you and I know. Have a good day!

YES INDEED THERE IS A BURDEN OF RESPONSIBILITY ON THE ATUGUBA'S COURT BUT THE ISSUE OF WHAT KIND OF RESPONSIBILITY? IS IT THE RESPONSIBILITY TO ANNUL AND DISENFRANCHISE OVER 4MILLION VOTES BECAUSE OF MERE ALLEGATIONS OR THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF PROTECTING THOSE INNOCENT GHANAIANS WHO HAVE CASTE THEIR VOTES AND SOMEBODY FOR PERSONAL AND SELFISH INTEREST WANT TO DISENFRANCHISE THEM.
YES, AKUFFO ADDO WENT TO COURT BUT WITH WHAT? HAS HE SO FAR BEEN ABLE TO PROVOE INSURMOUNTABLY THAT THOSE SO CALLED IRREGULARITIES BENEFITTED JOHN MAHAMA AND FOR THAT MATTER AFFECTED THE RESULTS DECLARED?
IS GABBY SERIOUS AT ALL? HAS HIS COUSIN BEEN ABLE TO PROVE ANY OF THESE? HIS COUSIN IS BASING HIS EVIDENCE ON MERE ADMINISTRATIVE ERRORS WHICH RUN THROUGH OUT ALL THE ELECTIONS RUN BUT HE HAS CHOSEN TO CENTRE ON THE AREAS OF JOHN MAHAMA. HOW GREEDY IS HIS COUSIN?
YES, THE ATUGUBA COURT HAS A RESPONSIBILITY BUT THAT RESPONSIBILITY WILL IS TO ALL GHANAIANS AND FOR THAT MATTER, ATUGUBA AND HIS COURT, WILLL LOOK FOR THE LAW AND NOT SELECTIVELY BUT TOTALLY APPLY IT TO ALL THE ELECTIONS RUN FOR DECEMBER 2012 AND GIVE HIS VERDICT FROM THERE.
SHAME ON YOU ALL THAT YOU HAVE BEEN EXPOSED. YOU HAVE IN FACT EXPOSED YOURSELVES.
WHEN YOU SUBMITTED YOUR EVIDENCE AND ATO DADZIE SAID, IF THIS IS THE EVIDENCE THEN THEY ARE DISAPPOINTED, I THOUGHT ATO DADZIE WAS A CALLING A BLUFF NOT KNOWING, HE KNEW WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT.
IF NOT THEIR WAY THEN IT SHOULD BE THE HIGH WAY?
ANYWAY, WHAT NECESSSITATED THIS PRE-EMPTIVE WRITING? YOU HAVE SEEN CLEARLY THAT THE CASE WILL NOT GO IN YOUR FAVOUR. YOU CANT TAKE GHANAIANS FOR GRANTED WITH YOUR LIES AND MISCHIEF

By now Ghanaians and the NPP folks should know that the decision to challenge the elections, and attempts to create unnecessary anxiety in the country is rooted in Gabby ( the author of this article) attempts to cast doubt in the electoral process. Viewers of Joy FM would recall that he was supposed to appear on TV on the night of the elections but he never did. When it became clear that Akuffo-Addo was losing, he and others without analyzing the results thought the best reaction to was to reject the results, and they did. Now here we are-- Its pathetic that most of us now held hostage by a few entitled political class that unfortunately has no clue of the political landscape of the country. Sadly, many are believing this nonsense of rigging alleged by the NPP. SO far, we are yet to see any video or stuffing of votes in favor of John Mahama yet they are wasting our time with circular arguments. Please Gabby, stop deceiving yourself and Ghanaians about any untoward happenings that has deprived your uncle of the presidency; he was not cheated; the Npp lost just as you lost the parliamentary majority. If you want to buy time and pay down your compaign debts do so but stop stoking fires where there are none. This far, with your help the NPP has questioned the legitimacy of all the state's institutions that crossed their path. Is it the party that intends to rule country if they come to power?

Oh Gabby this is a brilliant piece well educated and no political bias. I will suggest that the tv analysis on minority (NPP) caucus and majority caucus (NDC) tv programmes should be ceased immediately if we can bring peace to ghana. That separate program's are dangerous. The news file analysis is good because most of them are lawyers and know the consequences on what they say except the pocket lawyer Kwaku Baako. But his contributions are well researched and educative than even the lawyers on the panel. I hope the 9 justices will look at the law and not by tribe or feelings. May God help them in this our on decision.

They will do exactly that and conclusively endorse the elections as has been declared by the chairman of the EC. It is Ghanaians inviolable constitutional right to vote that's gonna be upheld in the end, but not somebody's egoistic ambition of becoming the president. You see, the constitution permitts citizens to seek redress in the Supreme court over electoral disputes but to ask the court to annul over half of the votes cast on the grounds of mere administrative errors and misleading selective documentation of so-called "incontovertible evidence" so as to achieve your life-long ambition is fictitious, unmeritorious and exemplary of a case brought in BAD FAITH. Gabby should rather advise his next of kin to throw in the towel for the verdict is too obvious and thus a forgone conclusion! i'd also ask him to desist from 'acting' neutral in this written submission when we all know that he's vorciferously bias and subjective in his submissions in the Joy saturday Newsfile program. His pretence of neutrality cannot wash with the well discerning Ghanaians!

Npp must go to the International Court of Justice in Den Haag if they want to remove Prez Mahama with false allegation. After all,Gabby is not that intelligent enough to quote the Nana Addo's petition as mere allegation. When you go to court with allegation, you will definately have to prove it with credible evidence otherwise you have no case.Let's see how many allégations npp have initiated after the 2012 general élections. They alleged that Prez Mahama and Afari Gyan rig the élections.Dr Afari Gyan stole Nana Addo's vote for Prez Mahama. There were 28 ghost polling stations which all voted for only Prez Mahama. Finally,Nana Addo has been robbed and the verdict of the people stolen for Prez Mahama. These are serious allegation that many npp supporters and members believe up till today. This kind of allegation propagated by NPP leaders is the genesis of their petition. Now that npp has been given the chance to prove all these serious allégations in court but strangely they did not file any of it in their petition. Why such a deception? Now they are not in court on allegation of rigging, cheating, fraud and malpractice.Suddenly, they have found a new word called "irregularities".Fine, come forward with your evidence for the whole world to see how Nana Addo was cheated.Bawumia brought in his famous pink sheets which has nothing to do with rigging, fraud or stealing. So actually, where was Nana Addo cheated? That's the question. After so many weeks in court the pink sheets have not been able to tell us anything.Unfortunately, the pink sheets are also not credible as the numbers keep swinging with bloated figures.I am not a lawyer but I know that you cannot win a Supreme Court case with a doutful evidence,a discredited one for that matter. This is the reason why,I have always said Nana Addo must withdraw his petition. It is based on false allegation and has created unnecessary tension, anxiety, fear, stress and bad image for the country.Gabby should know that allégations are not facts unless proven without any shadow of doubt.Thank you.

See the NPP assumption is based on a statistical analysis that Prof. Kweku Ansah Asare made in 2010.
1) Rawlings second term win his tally of the votes fell by 3% and that is why Kufour won the elections. He was right, the first Mills attempt the NDC total votes was reduced further by 2%.
2) For Koufor´s second term win his share of the vote droped by 3% and he had no qualms when Atta Mills won.
3) In his 2010 analysis he claimed if this voting trend continues the Atta-Mills share of the votes will be reduced by 2-3% points. In his conclusion Akufo-Addo will definately win the election. Ask the NPP folks how they came by the figure 53% for Akuffo-Addo. That is the conclusion which Kweku Azar drew in his analysis.
Deep down in my heart, I think if it was straight fight between Atta-Mills and Akufo-Addo, Akufo Addo would have won because we all know the ddesillusion the country was then in. HHowever, events did change and Kweku AAzars analysis elaborated above did not count anymore for Mahama is not Atta-Mills.
For the NPP it was business as usual and no change of strategy because prognosis shows that they are on cours to win the election and they cannot get over the shock that it did not go their way. It is in the same vain that they went to the Spreme Court with a statistical analysis of the election results and did not sought to prove all the things they have ascerted to.

This is a treatise premised on the assumption that the memorandum of understanding fashioned by the court for the adjudication of the petition had been established by the petitioners. All his other rantings are just an exercise to justify the treatise. The sad thing about his flowed logic is his insinuation of mayhem should the judges decide otherwise.
His treatise reminded us of this memorandum of understanding at which the Supreme Court set for itself two issues to be determined: (i) Whether or not there were violations, omissions, malpractices and irregularities in the presidential election held on December 7 and 8, 2012; (ii) Whether or not these violations, omissions, malpractices and irregularities, if any, affected the result of the said election?
His argument is that this is basically what constitutes their work.In fact he asked the court not to do any interpretation by balancing the right of the voter against any clerical error or competing claims on the constitution. In effect he said the constitution should not look at the law disfranchising four million qualified voters just because a presiding officer made a clerical error.Occasionally he tries a balancing argument but the motives are there foe all to see.
Otchere Darku had always seized the opportunity to play politics even on his tv panel shows at the least opportunity and some of those comments border on contempt. As a lawyer he must give the process a chance and stop his politics of bias which lacks balance and objectivity.
