Are your references to Mate Me Ho not indicicative of your bias? Can you look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself, in all honesty, that it is only memebers of the NPP who think the SC is being heavy-handed?
I have always been of the opinion that good education emanciptes the mind from the fetters of political myopia. Your article stands you out as a classic example of someone whose education has made you too one-dimensional.
Please, Sir, you are no more qualified to speak on the matter than your average NPP/NDC supporter. You are a Ghanaian, just like the rest of us, and should subject yourself to the same rules. Or you have a title, Dr, so think you are more qualified?

Not to intimidate Ghanaians the only thing that is above the judges is the constitution ..No clause whatsoever, or authority can override the constitution .the act of contempt is a court clause that is soo much inferior and unrecognisable to the freedom of speech ....if they think they can't stand pressure and critique , they must recruise themselves..by saying a jugde was selective and hippocritical in his pronouncement by Awuku does not whatsoever have link to the main subject matter of alleged electoral fraud before it ...I think you cant place Awuku s words in any wrongful Act in the constitution ....because a by the constitution , it must describe an wrong act and prescribe a punishment for it and this must be in the constitution , not any law or clause or authority but if there is a law or authority to be used as a measure for punishment, it must be in tandem with the constitution but not to override the law of freedom of speech , which is, the bedrock of our very existence as a democratic country..without that, we are not .....If Awukus comments were hate speech to incite people against each other or breach of constitution, fair in enuf ..but judges are not above criticism ..

These are the problems we,ve got to deal with.Having said so, we will not sit down unconcerned for these people to destroy this country because their god,Akufo Addo has been collectively rejected by Ghanaians to become president.Nobody can cow the court to submit to his will.The Akufo Addo led NPP thought because they have packed the court to do the dirty jobs for them all along, the same is going to happen when my valid votes would be thrown away in favour of a wee smoker and a fake lawyer to become president.Listen to the racist remarks all over the airwaves! Dear Mr Bokor I find your article quite interesting and educative except on the grounds that you showed your political stand in the later part of your piece. Every parent likes his/her children even sometimes the child may be wrong so is Ghana politics which it will take years to eradicate it whether you like it or not. I think both NDC and NPP are guilty of the issue of contempt. Did you hear Kofi Adams the dusty NDC secretary saying that for nana Addo to win the election petition is like turn the flow of volta lake up stream? Do you listen to the so called minority and majority caucuses of both parties on joy tv? So sickening that I think it is not good for the piece of the nation.

Of course in ghana tribal affiliations and personal relationships counts a lot unless you are not a Ghanaian ( the nyabros of Ewe, my brother or uncle from the Akans etc) forms part of our day today dealings even we vote on these lines. So for justice Atuguba hailing from the north, his brother also in the NDC government and the president also from the north cannot be over emphasised. That is why people are saying he justice Atuguba and all the nine judges have to gather the courage and live up to the task ahead. I know is not easy for them due to our Ghanaian background as I have stated.

I also thing our justices have entertained such contentious statements for too long and is now difficult to use others as a scape goats at this crucial moment. My suggestion is that they should ignore such comments and concentrate on their jobs. For I have no doubt in my mind that the nine justices will live up to the task in their hands. May God guide them.

If Justice Atuguba is truly related to the President's Executive Secretary, the honorable any reputable justice would do would be to recuse him/herself to avoid being accused of conflict of interest. Unfortunately conflict of interest doesn't exist in Ghana, not even in the Supreme Court.
You wrongly assume that anyone that raises concern about the seemingly dictatorial use of the contempt clause as being an NPP sympathizer. There's more to intellectual discourse than partisan politics. It's amazing how the elite class in Ghana can be oppressive no matter the clothes they wear - whether they wear military fatigues, business suits, academic gowns or judicial wigs!!!
