  the writer seemed to have under-rated this team. he has forgotten that almost all the players are active in the much improved local premiership league. three of them were in contention for the goal king award.
  yaw preko refused to be part of the 1993 silver winning squad in australia. if he had turned up, there was every likelihood thathis surging runs, perfect ball control and selfless approach to football would have produced a goal or two against brazil in the final as against the inefectiveness of ahinful & akunour on the day.

If we can conquer complaisancy and tightly mark our opponent, we will beat all the teams, including france and spain. I like good observers like you my dear!! We are players, nor coaches but at least when something goes wrong, we can see it and analyze the root cause... one doesn't need to attend coaching/or football classes to know that your suggestions are good. your comment is one of the bests. Those types of comments are what reader want to see, not insults, affronts, animosity and denigration….

  Two major attitudes that stop our teams from winning matches are lack of motivation and complainsancy. If we pass through Chile and meet France in the semi, the boys would have fresh memories of their bitter defeat and that would suffice to wake them up to be 100% alert during the game. And after passing through France, we need the meet Spain in the final. The performance the boys displayed in the Spain and USA matches was backed by motivation. And I am sure they won't want to be beaten two times in a row by France or Spain. This is the kind of motivation moved by revenge that boys seem to like....

  Ghana will beat chile with their current form, the only problem is the defence which I believe silas Tetteh ll look into it before the game. The strikers are as hungry as a lion not fed for weeks and will not repeat the same mistakes as when they lost to both France and Spain. Anything can happen in a competitive tournament but am very optimistic that Ghana can hold any team all the way to the finals because the forwards are capable of scoring those early goals and in football goals counts much better than performance, the more goals the satellites score the better opportunity to win.

  Remember if we are able to qualify, france can probably be our next opponent,let us also not forget the Koreans,they are also my favourites in this tournament.
