Don't talk to me about Krobo Adusei because he is a distant relative who traces his origin to Kumawu but he is from Buoho with Opanyin Senya my great grandfather and Krobo Edusei were brothers.

My family now calls Buoho near Maase in the Kwabre district as home but I have families in Kronom, Breman and Kwapra on these towns are on Kumasi Offinso road.

Krobo Adusei I know derived his political power from Kumawu area as he traced his origins from that area but Buoho is his hometown.

In countries where there is rule of law, there continues to be successful lawsuits that target various advertising ploys used by tobacco companies to target hosts and consumers of their product. As Ghanaians become more aware of these crimes of influence, misinformation and manipulation, the just consequences for these veiled killers called "business icons" will happen. Remember: birds eat ants and termites, but eventually, these birds will be eaten by ants and termites at the end of their days. Food for thought.

It is not only apio and akpeteshie that are health hazards but beer, wine, gin vodka and all those alcoholic drinks are health hazards. Drunk drivers in Ghana kill kill a lot of people in Ghana. Are you going to sue the breweries too?

Take responsibility for your own behaviour and stop blaming others. Nobody is forcing you to smoke or drink and it is not a crime to sell cigarettes in GHANA.

Advertising that falsely targets children and minors, and grooms them to become addicts and long-term consumers of a product that kills, drains the economic potentials of the victims, and creates a whole spate of intergenerational sickness in society is wrong. Lying is not entertained by any sensible Ghanaian. I think you may be running away from the meat of this discussion by pointing at other causes of death and desease. I grew up seeing pictures of some of my favourite movie stars and role models smoking(on TV and on billboards in Ghana) - very calculated and targeted advertisement to the youth. I know of no laws in Ghana that encourage anyone to insiduosly lure young people to their deaths while enriching themselves. Today, forward thinking people in Ghana have had a wake-up call. Do you see overt advertisiment of cigarettes in Ghana anymore? Don't wait for others to set the tone for better health in your society. Be a leader. Not washing your hands after soiling it can introduce preventable deseases into your body, leading to potential death from conditions such as cholera or typhoid. Do you think Ghana needs to draft laws to enforce handwashing? I think that would be silly. We would wash our dirty hands because it is simply sensible to do so - there is ample research to support this. The same can be said of cigarette sales, smoking and targeted and disingenuos advertising of this killer product.

There are heavy taxes imposed on them, and they must bear graphic warning labels that warn consumers about its health hazards. Selling tobacco and alcohol to minors is an offense. Research is showing increasing positive health outcomes as more people avoid or quit the habits of smoking and alcoholism. Ghana can take a cue. Why not?

So they scamper and scuttle like rats, in all directions, seeking a revenge, hurling abominable insults at whoever had caused the 'damage', and he's perceived by these damned and faceless people as a traitor.

Only God knows why Rawlings, P.V. Obeng and the likes are still alive after committing despicable crimes against fellow innocent and hardworking Ghanaians. They'll surely be punished someday, God knows when and how. The blood of those people never ceases to cry for vengeance which is the Lord's. The NDC 'Quixotes' who say this article is bogus, useless, etc, God have mercy on them.

The GCB loans by corrupt bank officials made these so called industrialists what they are. This and the likes of 'A Life' ride on the backs of ordinary Ghanian tax payers and the refuse to pay their taxes after corrupt officials dole them taxpayers money. GCB had to be recapitalized to continue in business after the ruined it. There are many of them in our society living of our taxes doled to them by corrupt officials and they go boosting they are industrialist when they refuse to repay the loans and even taxes.
