  Powerful article that confirms Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah's thoughts on Neocolonialism and elucidates Steve Biko's viewpoint of Black consciousness. Helas, we are caught between the majority who have been contaminated and being spoon-fed (living glorious lives with no needs) and the minority who have foreseen and are struggling to break the chain chain reaction. It is well-known to all the continents that it is only on the African continent where you can do anything you like and later call for reconciliation without paying any meaningful price or incurring any losses. Such an attitude helped to make grounds for enslavement and colonisation. Ghanaians, somehow, still have the mistaken belief that it is normally possible to trade justice for peace, something that even the Almighty will not do. Can we research into this, taking specific examples, and see how much it cost us?

  Please stop being myopic in thinking. Peace, justice and democracy are part of the vehicles that drive a country or a people into progress. It is utopian to think of peace without justice. NOT EVEN GOD WILL DO THAT!!! When He (God) gave the laws, it was to ensure that order, in other words, justice, was observed. And if you would permit me to quote from the Bible again, the idea of atonement or remission of sin by Jesus Christ for humankind is "exacting of justice" on behalf of humankind, of his sins, so as to reconcile him with the creator and open before him the possibility of peace, love, happiness and other promises of the father.
  We must also not confuse them with forgiveness, notion of which arises from acceptance of, well for this purpose, error or mistake (still justice in play).
  From observation, a country or community which seeks peace at the expense of justice gradually ends up paying appalling price.
  You may go into history and check the results of our seeking peace at the expense of justice.
  Btw, why do you think the African continent ended up becoming subservient?

FYI, the PC isn't one of the arms of govt; it was set up by an Act of parliament and their role is only to arbitrate.

  The peace we seek will come out of justice and the like. The inter-tribal misunderstandings are the result of our unwillingness to embrace justice - to respect one another regardless of who or what he/she is and where he/she comes from, and to give honour where and whom it is due. How can there be peaceful coexistence when there is lack of respect (constituting injustice) for others? Even Jesus the Christ did not trade justice for peace. Remember the prodigal son? Remember the parable of the talents and the "just" rewards?
  Call him what you may but to us, K. Okoampa Ahoofe jr. is provoking Ghanaians to think deeper and resolve problems in a befitting manner. We have dodged this reality and they are a contributory factor to the snail pace of progress in the country.
