  POLYGAMY: This is sanctioned by tradition and Islam. Even though I don’t know the traditional law regarding that, but I know for a fact that Islam has regulated a serious condition for polygamy where the Quran stated emphatically that “If you fear you may not be just among women, marry only one”. This is the divine law which most of us have violated as Muslims which end result is the children on the streets and I was once upon a time one of them.

  I don't understand why anyone will disagree with the original write-up. I have been to Tamale twice and nothing will ever in my life force me to go there again. The patapaa zongo mentality is rife even among the so called educated elites.I will continue to say that not until these anti-development attitudes are completly eliminated from these people no serious investor will ever think of wasting his/her funds in the north. The considerable amount of money that goes into security in Tamale can provide a lot of amenities to the people.Just look at the number of children Mahama has and this will tell you a lot about these people who should be pounding fufu or working as farm labourers. Education does not mean many concubines and the production of street children.The truth hurts.

  Indeed, truth hurts and especially so when it is coming from myopic minds such as yours. "...nothing will ever in my life force to go there" You speak of Tamale as though it does not form part of Ghana. It is as though you don't have any relative or people you care about there. For God sake, we are all Ghanaians. One does not need to read beyond your third sentence to understand that you are suffering from the "we-against-them" syndrome. Are you by any strectch of imagination suggesting that you didn't find anything good about the people of Tamale and that everything is perfect with your own people or the place you find yourself. Please grow up and stop this bitter feelings againts tribes other than yours. Whether you like it or not the Fufu Pounder or Farm laborer is your current President. It is the same Fufu Pounders or Farm Laborers who are responsible for few handsome, beautiful, and coloured men and women among the Akan. If you are in doubt, you can ask your grandmother and she will readily confess. If you care to know, one of the primary functions of education is to help people like you to refine your thinking. Unfortunately, it is obvious that you did not gain much from your education either.
