One Thing you must learn in Addition of what you already knew is that if suprem court found you criminary guilty it has the power to pronouce judgement without refering the case to anybody, but if a high court or any lower court found you guilty of contempt that is where your Long theses come to pray.
was ken kurakye not represnted by an Atorney?

was stephen Atubiga not admitted and pleaded for mercy?

Even before Ken Kuranchie had been sent to jail, some members of the SC panel were openly nervous about the action they had just taken.
I humbly submit that Justice Jones Dotse was so concerned that he found it neccessary to explain why the naming of the Daily Guide did not amount to selectivity.
I further submit that once Justice Dotse offered his explanation, it was now a matter of course that Ken Kuranchie would be allowed to open his defence and argue the contrary.
It is perverse that those who are now goading the SC on to jail critics are not held to be in contempt. I am referring in particular to Nene Amegatcher, Ghana Bar Association President, who called for Kuranchie to be jailed before the hearing. He did influence the administration of Justice by his disgraceful advocacy.
I am extremely happy that what started as a one-man protest by Kwaku Asare is now being joined by others who see the need to fight this creeping dictatorship of the court.
God bless our homeland, Ghana

No one has joined any fight against any cripping dictatorship of the court except you the same NPP elements metamorphosising into different groups in opposition to everything that does not go your way. Justice Dotse may be betraying his colleagues in trying to water down the effect of a collective decision. He needn't do that, unless he was discenting and wanted to express same. All these lenghthy articles are further proof of your concerted efforts to railroad the SC but it would not work. If you cannot curb arrogance, contemptuous, uncouth behaviour and plain insults from political discourse, then don't carry that to the justices and expect them to be tolerant. They have teeth and they can bite. When the NPP took the case to the SC what were they expecting? That they would dictate the manner in which it was to be conducted? That the SC would give them to use that platform to spew gabbage at anyone who expresses contrary opinion to that of the petitioners? Well that did not happen and they better learn to discipline their mouths.

Professor Asare is calling for restraint and cessation of rule-by-judges.
Kwame, we've all been following this case. Looks like the Supreme Court itself en-thorned themselves, if we may use your concept.
They are directly responsible for arresting the situation. The sooner they desist and cease, the milder the punctures and warts from their thorns.
Maybe they need to reflect deeply on some of the mail they've received. That it is contempt to write to a judge even about a pending case is rather bizarre for many obvious reasons.
Please consider that we are trying to build a democracy and as a result we are promoting citizenship.
Thanks, Kwame!

What was Atuguba afraid of from inviting Prof. Asare "to show him what power lies" but decided to draw another final touchline of his for highly-placed people in our society? Was he afraid to be taught one or two things in law? Did Asare not give him his home address and also asked that he could be invited in this petition?
