  Not sure about some of these points!
  
  First of all, we'd like to know what Mr. Ahmed Salim Nuhu is studying at KNUST.
  
  Further, is it not the case that "policy direction on YOUTH LEADERSHIP TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT" is what schools and universities are for?
  
  READ: "....Government should set up a clear institution for LEADERSHIP TRAINING FOR THE YOUTH, whether incorporated in the academic curriculum as an extracurricular activity or outside of it. It should focus on helping the youth understand the ever-expanding CIVIL SOCIETY, GLOBALIZATION, THIRD PARTY GROUPS LIKE NGOS AND CIVIL SOCIETY GROUPS, their intended and unintended consequences on development...."
  
  OUR COMMMENT: Again, seems to us that is the function of the University. We can imagine these subjects being covered as part of core courses at Ghana's educational institutions, from primary school, through the University, through National Service, and even orientation during the first year for those electing to join the public service (Or is Mr. Ahmed Salim Nuhu telling us the universities, including KNUST have failed in those areas. Therefore, it is now up to politicians (the government) to do what schools and universities, in part, are chartered to do?
  
  That said, we commend Mr. Ahmed Salim Nuhu for taking time to present these worthwhile ideas for discussions and consideration.

  Life is not that easy guys.You are either Leader or you are not after charity begins at home. If you will steal, you will have to steal no matter what as some thieves are born with it and a good example is Kuffuor, our ex-president.

  Ahmed has written well. However, if he could remember, when President Kuffour advised the youth to join the queue and learn the ways of leadership, he was mocked by some people. What he was actually was that the youth should take time to learn to become good leaders rather rushing to take up political positions. In the US, leaders like Clinton, Obama, Bush and many others in the Europe became special assistants, researchers assistants, adm assistants to congressmen etc before moving up the political ladder.
