Indeed it is obvious that there is tension in Ghana, and no one needs any prophecy to know this. However to question the benefits of churches, I beg to differ greatly. If you think religion or Christianity is worthless to society, just imagine what the situation would be like if society were deviod of religion. Even though the expected effect may not be fully glaring, the stabilising effect of religion cannot be underestimated.

These fake pastors reminds me of the good old days when my mum used to travel with me by train from Accra via Koforidua to Kumasi to visit relatives who were teaching or for administrative duties posted there. And the Moment you pass Nsawam, you see theses AZAA snake oil salesmen selling dubious all purpose medicine which is all cure panacea. Meanwhile, if you look at the guy selling the concoction, he looks sicker than the passengers he is trying to lure to buy his medicine.

The world is indeed a funny place. These so called medicine men and tricksters have now found a new vocation. Just call yourself man of God. These men with dubious credentials, selling fake medicines and boisterous persons have now become pastors. OMG! I can’t believe it! But bulks of stupid Ghanaians run to them for redemption because they are failing to think. We are not living in a perfect world. It is not a problem free world. The world is full of waves, we all have our ups and downs, exciting times and tragedies etc in life but people with bird brains who cannot think outside the box always attribute their woes to someone else or the old lady next door and all kinds of superstitions. This is where the snake oil preachers come in to prey on the ignorance of the gullible Ghanaian/African.

These soapbox orators can no longer hide behind the pulpit to unleash their doomsday forecast which is only a trick to take their congregation into permanent hostage. Lock up these charlatans for creating panic and fear. Oh did I mention that they are useless and superfluous?!! As a matter of fact they are unnecessary as a well is to a village on the banks of a river.

They put the fear of God in people and deceive these (mostly poor and uneducated) church goers to continuously pay money for 'favour' from God. The politicians associate themselves with these same false prophets hoping that endorsement would translate into votes for them. These @men-of-God' have grown so rich and some have grown so out of touch that they are gradually being alienated from their church members. The sheer opulence demonstrates why churches are the real business today - little initial capital - just a bible and you squat on someone else's plot of land and presto! you are rich. You pay no tax over income, you run the church as if its a personal property, you have unlimited access to other people's wives and partners and behave arrogantly. They travel first or business class - paid for by very poor church members who cannot even afford a taxi ride to church! Some prophets even BRAG ABOUT THE UNIQUENESS OF THE PERFUME THEY WEAR - WHAT IMPUDENCE!

I do not think Otabil was just propheshying doom. He was calling to prayer. At any rate, depending on your own spirituality, you may add your own twists. But remember that intercessory prayer always saves nations from doom as a little study in history may show. May we take this as a redemptive act. thanks

May sombody out there tell this man in the face that,he can fool his guillible followers but not Ghanaians! Since when has he become a prophet? Only when it is very clear that his NPP has completely lost the bogus case before the court? Otabil is a Character that needs to be watched. Ghana will not die! Ghana will not experience any war! Ghana will live and prosper no matter what this evil man thinks. Yes, why not? The money is no more coming from the Castle, waa, waa, waa as Kufour was doing. The development of the country goes with the hard work of its citizens, their honesty in the management of the people's resources. I can ensure all Ghanaians that the so-called men of God are the biggest criminals, thieves, immoral and so on in this earth. They use to put fear on people and exploit them. They abuse people's wives because among their followers the women are the majority who are seeking protection.

No war will come to Ghana, no disaster
will hit Ghana, no poverty will overtake the will of Ghanaians to live better.

What I guess is that in the event that the decision of the Supreme Court is not in favor of NPP, they will create unrest and troubles. And as these so-called men of God are in close liaison with NPP gurus and members they know this and they want to influence the court's decision. Unless Nana Akufo-Addo wins the case, the war will come to Ghana. God's decision is already there and whoever does not respect the SC's decision will face severe law.

God bless EBOW for his good research and work! All of us are men and women of God. We shouldn't expect anybody to come and tell us about God. We know and we sense God by ourselves.

Having given false hope to the NPP through their false prophesies, they now want to incite the losers to visit mayhem on the population. Owusu Bempa was loud in prayer at an NPP political gathering praying against the "evil coming in from the North". That prayer turned out as victory for the "leader from the north". Now, sensing further defeat for their preferred party, they are prophesying doom. God is surely going to put to shame these men who are misleading the nation with their false prophesies.

During last year´s political campaigning it was the NPP leadership that was threatening hale and brimstone should their party lose that election. Now it is these political pastors who are re-echoing their political leadership´s threats of mayhem. Ghanaians should take heart with the late president Mills famous assurance of "Ghana will not die, Ghana will live to give praise to the Almighty God". And let all say AMEN and AMEN!

it could be a diferrent thing but it is only prayer that can avert the situation. It's like when good things are been said about ghana by some men of God nobody prase them for what they have said as a result most people shout hallelujah but when it is a bad information then woe unto the person who made that statement more or less when it has a spritual connotation, and even those who stand against some of these statements are not borg again Christians, my little advice to ghanaians is that, we must fear God and respect True men of God in this country, because when something evil happens those who spaeks very ill about Men of God are the same people who will call on Men of God to lead their people in prayers to ask God to intervene.
