The state of Ghana spent a lot of money on a bunch of people to deliver a service, an election. the leaders of this group either deliberately condoned or looked the other way while their appointees falsified official records.
This would have caused mayhem in any other jurisdiction. But some civilised democrats decided to use the law rather the gun. That is what Nana is saying.
Those who knowingly by-passed biometric verification or put in more than their legal share of ballot papers have themselves to blame and no one else.

The petition was not brought by the NPP, that would be unconstitutional. The 3 petitioners may well be of the NPP, but that is rather immaterial. Your article took a wrong turn as soon as you made reference to NPP pursuing. This is a civil case, not political, and I really wish that Ghanaians could understand that. It was just 3 Ghanaian citizens exercising their constitutional rights. But, knowing how obsessive-compulsive Ghanaians are, some fool will make this comment political.

Mr Constitutionalist can you explain why the NDC the third Respondent was allowed to join the case ? Jake did not contest any office so why is he in court ? If the NPP is not in court is he challenging the results?

Only a Ghanaian citizen can bring such as case before court, not a political party. That is what he/she is saying. Not to cast dispersions your way, but if you read the constitution you may have just known that.

Excellent commentary. What those who do not care for Nana Akuffo Addo fail to recognize is he and his team's commitment to the principles of Freedom and Justice. That a country where disputes are resolved peacefully through the frame work of laws is better than one where injustice is sanctioned as a normal way of life and violence becomes the established order for dispute settlement. Just take a look on our current currency. Jake's father and that of Nana and his two grand Uncles JB Danquah and Paa Willie life work was to fight for our Independence from colonial rule. It was they who recruited Nkrumah who came to finish the job of making us a free nation legally.
For Nana Addo the Rule of Law is paramount for a civil society. It is a part of hi pedigree. His Grand father Nana Sir Ofori Atta of the Abuakwa State had courts established for the adjudication of disputes during his reign. And it was his great ancestor Ofori Payin who sent his nephew Safori to fight the Akwamus and clear them from Akwuapim to cross the Volta due to the Akwamu's injustice against the Guans (the Kyrepongs),
Like Nana and his team we must all fight against injustice wherever we find it but must do so peacefully under the Rule of Laws.
Whatever the outcome of this court case we must come together as a people to fight blatant corruption and to also work together to develop our people and land. God Bless Ghana and its people to their potential.

I am afraid your characterisation of the "People (the NPP) is wholly wrong and grossly misleading, and should be retracted from your opinion piece. It is always important to be truthful yourself if you claim you are seeking truth, fairness and justice!!!
It is the NPP (petitioners) who brought the case against the respondents, not the "PEOPLE" of Ghana. Furthermore, you have prejudiced your own statement by calling for those in the "EC (and their collaborators)" by which you are suggesting guilt already, to be brought to justice. Your choice of words and language leaves much to be desired.
What if I may ask, is the primary purpose of your article and what message are you trying to convey?

The problem with many who comment on articles do not read objectively or have biases. Is the NPP as party made of non-humans or humans?

To date, nobody has offered any plausible explanation as to why and how the 'mess' uncovered by the KMPG report came about? And yet a Justice on the panel has been quoted as saying the petitioners did "over-file" the exhibits they have sought to rely on,really? After the the numerous contortions we have all been taken through, has Philip Addison been able to estblih that 'mythical' figure of 11,842 'unique' pinks as outlined in paragraphs 44-67 of their peadings? To be honest, many of the officials we saw on the TV screens, who are charged with ensuring the intergrity of the court process, can be said to be properly trained,or above reproach!
The CJ and her team have a lot of work to do in bringing about needed reforms in the administation of justice in this country!
