The Supreme Being of the Akan people appears in the triad of Nyame-Nyankopon-Odumankoma. Nyame is the female aspect of the Supreme Being or Creator, symbolized by the Ohemaa of the state. Nana Asaase Yaa is the mother of the earth (wife of the supreme being). The Abosom were created by the supreme being and work for him. We Akans believe the God Almighty the supreme being is too unique to be worshipped directly, therefore we worship him through Abosom and the spirits of our ancestors, who are closer to both the spiritual and material world. Just like you cannot talk to a Akan King directly, but through his linguist, the same way we do not talk directly to God. If someone pours libation without mentioning the Supreme being and Nana Asaase Yaa, then he is not a proper traditional priest.

I come from a traditional home. I belong to the Nsuta-Adako royal family of Adako-Jachie (Adako-Gyaakye), Asaman (Aburaso) and Bonkron all in Asante. We are the uncles of the Asantehene.

Im not a Christian, but a traditionalist. Even the majority of people in my family, who are Christians continue to practice our traditional Akan religion at the same time. If someone chooses to worship a foreign religion such as christianity, thats fine with me. But that person should refrain from condemning other native religions of which he knows little or nothing about. Im tired of hearing of things like we didnt believe in God before the coming of the Europeans or that our religion is inferior or demonic.

Folks would remmber the NDC "aparatchiks" whose names have been mentioned made silly remarks praised late Atta-Mills even when Ghanaians were feeling the economic pain. It is a fact that the NDC are criminals and liars; "they'll lie until thy kingdom come!" There's no good thing that can connect with the "Sasabonsam Party."

They said funny things, lied to Ghanaians that: "Oh, everything is fine; the economy is booming" and many others. It didn't take long for their party founder Mr. Rawlings and his wife to burst unto the scene to lambaste the Mills' govt of incompetency, corruption ect. That was from within their own party!

Soon, Mrs. Rawlings would also run against Atta-Mills in NDC's presidential contest, only for her to be disallowed by crafty Afari-Gyan. The only thing the EC boss couldn't do was to save the life of Prez. Mills at the Castle.

These are the "Sasabonsam" party operatives and their way they operate in and around the seat of power. They'll do anything unthinkable, to foist their will on Ghanaians.

What they forget to admit is that the Mighty God is a living God; His eyes rolls over all the earth, to see whose heart are pure and show Himself MIGHTY, in their favour.

Afari-Gyan and the NDC have always attempted to connive to cheat in any elections; this time around, their bottom have been exposed, big time! And they won't stop making threats and warnings about the just-ended election petition hearing at the Supreme Court.

Some NDC scouts have started shouting for chaos and mayhem, should the Supreme Court rule to oust John Mahama from the seat of presidency. Who do they think they are; are they mightier than the Supreme Court or the laws of the land? And who are they trying to deceive; themselves or Ghanaians? I just wonder!

He never went bonking his female aides for pleasure. Indeed you'd never hear him insult even though he was at the recieving end of all shades of unpalable insults for no apparant reason. His modesty was heaven-sent. His personality alone gave birth to a responsible leadership as far as govenrnace is concern. Before he departed, look at the fierce fight he mounted eliminating a lot of schools under trees, markets were being mordernised, existing schools were been mordenised, university begun to spring up in two more regions, pot holes on our roads were disappearing by the second, new roads, inflation remained single digit, lots and lots of new things were happening given us hope of brighter future. Even the gas project linked to jubilee field, he made sure it was state owned and many more. So please don't perch in london with your fiegned ignorance, making ignorant statement about the unprecedented legacy of Mills.
