I do not think it is Tarzan's contraian views that has made him a pariah within the NPP. he still have friends and admirers but to the general community of NPP his methods are not acceptable. Kofi Adams was suspended by the NDC? A party without disciple is like a plane that is flying without a rudder.

You are right. He even started his article by quoting Marley's song. However, I don't see any connection between Wereko-Brobbey's vitriol attacks and that of Wailer's music that calls for change. He is rather who is being a gossiper and talking, while the NPP is working.

We have to know that Wereko Brobbey is doing that just because he is being neglected in the Party and not as someone who wants to bring a change in the party. Arthur-K, yes, but certainly not Wereko Brobbey.

Hufuor gave him so many chances to bring reform in the country but did not see anything from Valco or the 50th celebration. He could have used the money to build public latrines in Accra, but wasted the money. He felt he is better than most of the people in the party and that is why he is constantly attacking them.

So my question is how does he become a SOUL REBEL in NPP?

For BRAVEBOY and those of you who perhaps have no scope of history I offer the following for you to understand the struggles that afflicts Political Parties.
NPP is a party that has it foundation from The United Party (UP) of the 1950's. And below is the party's factions:
1. United Gold Coast Convention or UGCC ( JB Danquah, PAA willie Ofori Atta, Akufo Addo and Obestebe Lamptey Da Rocha and others)- and now represented by Nana Addo and Jake Obetsebey, Odoi Sykes, Mac Manu and the two last party Gen Secretaries. Mainly Akeym, Ga, Akuapim and some Fantes
2. National liberation Movement or NLM( Baffour Akoto, Busia, Victor Owusu, Joe Appiah and others) Now represented by Kuffor, Wreko-Brobbey, Alan, Osei - mainly Ashanti and Brongs
3. Northern peoples Party ( SD Dombo ) represented by the current vice party chairman and the Deputy Party secretary and others.
$. Togoland Party ( Apaloo and others)

It is the NLM faction that led the party to victory twice. Busia and Kuffour. The current leadership is from the UGCC faction.

Those who are keen students of political parties may agree with me that factional struggles for upper hand and leadership are normal. I do not see the wereko-Brobbey's saga as a calamity for the party. Those who care can review the recent history of the Democratic and Republican parties (USA) or Labor and the Concervative parties (UK)for the reasons for Regan,Clinton, Obama, Thatcher and Blair election victories when their parties have been written off by the pundits due to internal fights within their parties?

The NDC party is not out of the woods regarding internal struggles either. We all know the story so no need to elaborate.

The NDC was strategically put together by the smarts of Captain Stsikata, Obed and others from the Law faculty of Legon by coopting the fragmented CPP based with patronage and the foundation of the security agency personnel who were in the civilian domain. The EWE loyalty in my opinion was tribal pride due to the leadership. How else could a people who were the only ones that voted for JB Danquah in the 1960 presidential election against Nkrumah be at logger heads with their natural allies UP in the 50 and 60's. We should remember Kotoka,Harley and Afrifa banded together to overthrow Kwame Nkrumah. And R R Amponsah, UP Gen secretary and Apaloo of the Togoland party were accused of planning to assassinate Nkrumah.

I am sorry to have digressed from the main Tarzan issue but the point I am trying to make is that the NDC and NPP have been allies. The current insidious political culture is normal part of human nature. WE only should be vigilant not to allow rouge elements in our mist to gain the instruments of state power to rain violence and corruption on us. The lesion of the Bolsheviks who used the naitivity of Intelligentia and Hitler who used national self doubt wounds arising out of the WW1 to gain power is what we must avoid at all cost. For all who weep for Wereko-Brobbey he will land on his feet if he has ideas that can stand the test of time. It took Regan and Thatcher decades to rise to power in their [arties.

Wisdom is not the monopoly of one individual. How we think and behave is everything!

The true fact is that Akufo Addo and his Akyem family(mafias) has damaged the NPP beyond repairs, just for selfishness. Akufo Addo has genuinely lost the elections but becasue of disgrace and face saving to his rotten credibility, he has rather damaged the party the more.It is a big disgrace for most of us to have spent money, time and energy to follow this party and voted for it all along.The NPP is doomed and doomed forever by the actions of Akufo and his mafias who wouldn´t listen to reasons. Is Akufo Addo bigger than the NPP? He is a complete liability to the party and mother Ghana and he will forever be remembered for his destructions of the NPP. The verdict will come and there he will see himself.He is a dreamer like you guys.

Soul... as in Soul Music (music of black pride and culture), is correctly used to mean strong emotion or passion which is what the article portrays Tarzan as - passionate rebel. It has nothing to do with being the only (sole) rebel. Mo ntebrofo!
