Dr. Kuurie, every thing stated is true. The only solution to the problem is good education. Most Ghanaians, both northerners and southerners are ignorant whiles others have racial prejudice.
One major problem is the foreign population in the south who claim to come from the north but cannot trace their root to the north. Most at times, their behaviour towards the southerners is different from our own from the north.
Most northerners could accommodate and understand a southerner much easier than most foreigners who claim to come from the north.But I believe with proper education tribalism could be minimised or kicked out.

We can understand how you feel. This is a worrisome situation. The North-South divide, or classification based on region and religion must be dismantled. We all need a fair level playing ground.

All that we think about is politics. When a major party whats to select a vice president, the one should come from the North to win. What of a Norther being the president? That becomes a problem for some tribes in Ghana. They only use the Norther for votes but not for presidency, this is injustice at worst. This is an excellent piece, come down, join a party and we will vote for you. I am from the South. I love your article, therefor, more of it.
