Yes he is right because you cannot give a baby the taste of Ice Cream and take it from him and Ghanaian workers have tasted the high salary the SSSS have given them and there is no way they will easily give it back though higher taxes and levies on goods and services have taken all the benefits higher wages gave them. What then can the government do? There are few options available to the government.

Now considering your own assertion above that higher taxes and levies have taken the benefits of higher wages and salaries, does it not inform you that the Government although spends 70% of revenue to pay these workers also recoup it through indirect taxes?

So therefore what is your point? If you have any brain in economics, you will know that there is a Psychological effect in the implementation of the SSSS on the workers.And it is this effect that is fooling the workers to believe that their salaries are better which the SMARTER NDC USED TO GET VOTES. NDC IS SMART ON THIS.

Fool, if you have any brains point out the contradiction. Saying the workers highee salaries are lost to higher taxes, levies, higher cost of goods and services does not mean they lose it all to the government. When workers go to the market and buy foodstuff, the extra cost does not go to the government.

When workers pay higher cost for their rent, transportation, the government does not receive the extra cost.

Even when workers pay higher cost for electricity, water and other government provided services, government does not derive higher levies or taxes because factors of production cost have gone up too.

Ulliterate fool, stop your watchman's job and go back to school because you reason like a jss drop out which you definitely is.

He states that "...The main idea behind the SSSS as envisaged by NPP was to streamline government pay scale where people with the same qualification will earn the same salaries and cut the bottlenecks in workers not receiving their salaries in time" NDC implemented the proposal, and they went about wrongly.

The Finance Minister, Mr Terkper is boldly right with the admission that the SSSS Policy is unsustainable, despite President John Mahama's spinning determination to make it sound sustainable. But what President Mahama fails to admit is the fact that Ghana is financially bankrupt, and his NDC Administration is intellectually bankrupt as well to stop the rot in the implementation of the SSSS Policy.

The objective of the SSSS Policy is to promote greater fairness in public sector pay by tackling disparities between the lowest and highest paid in public sector organisations. However, this requires an increase in public sector productivity to enhance the country's economic growth. Ironically, the implementation of the SSSS has rather ratchet up the remunerations of the executives and other arms of the Government. Herein lies a sense of 'corruption solidarity' as both NDC,NPP and all MPs have their 'snout in the trough'. The MPs of all political parties are simply greedy and grossly insensitive to the plight of ordinary Ghanaians. However, this requires an increase in public sector productivity.

The SSSS Policy is not designed for a weak economy like Ghana with debt-fuelled public spending without economic growth. The NDC Government is a costly bloated Government rife with corruption and trapped by intellectually bankrupt misfits!
