  You are trying to point fingers at the NDC when it has become increasingly apparent to Ghanaian people that the NPP style of conducting politics is warped and unacceptable.The people you mention do not hate the Christian Churhes, but they have a serious problems with the so-called faith churches who exploit the poor and vulverable in the name of God and use tithe to collect their meagre wages. I never heard them say anything wrong with the orthodox churches.
  You can point fingers all you like, but it has been established by all and sundry that political discourse has become dangerously volatile and unhealthy and the main perpetrators are members of a certain political persuasion. It is also universally agreed that this must stop, and the stopping starts with swiftly bringing to book, wayward vagabond politicians. And power and respect restored to the judiciary where it belongs.

  The two main parties have equal share of the blame for "unsavoury" and irresponsible political commentary and the personal insults that go on in Ghana. Hardly do you find either NPP or NDC commentators make a speech or engage in debates or write articles without insulting others (not just politicians).
  
  Take a case in point here. Otchere-Darko has published an article criticising an Assistant Commissioner of Police for voicing his opinions about the pervasive nature of corruption in all sectors (not just the Police Force. If you followed the police officer's original statements, he did not seek to justify corruption in the force, but was arguing that they alone should not be blamed for corruption in the country.
  
  What is Otchere-Darko's response, personal insults including calling him "baboon-chested".
  
  I have argued and continue to condemn the various forms of corruption in our country and whilst Otchere-Darko is right to confront the police officer's statements and to argue against it, is it wise, expedient or even politically acceptable for such a person with Otchere-Darko's stature in our national politics to stoop so low?
  
  This is at the heart of our problems. It is this same Otchere-Darko who would say that Owusu Afriyie or Stephen Atubiga or Kuranchie "went too far" in their comments. Yet he simply does not see the 'huge log in his own eye' when he chooses to use unsavoury and clearly uncalled for language of the gutter to describe someone else.
  
  I would rather that in your attempt to raise issues for discussion such as this one, you rose above the temptation to 'cite' one side of the political divide more than the other.
  
  Also take note that depending on the subject in question and the period in the political cycle, all these politicians engage in low-down gutter language which all well meaning Ghanaians such as you and I must condemn without reservation. For it is only through such cohesive condemnation and a demonstration of our abhorrence of such attitudes that our politicians (from all sides) will learn that it does not pay to be rude and insulting.

  Dear Paul. I completely agree with your comments. I indicated that it my personal feeling that more insults have emanated from the NDC than the NPP; however, I stated clearly that I might be wrong. So thanks for pointing equally damaging remarks from the camp of the NPP. I think that both parties are guilty, and need to be equally condemned. Bless you!
