Thanks so much Boamah for the great analysis of this situation in our mother Ghana. It is the true fact and I greatly support the ideal of getting the roadside mechanics satified. Also to add to what the first commentor has said, if we could get bribery out of our system will go a long way to help in reducing preventable accident. This is because the officers who are supposed to make sure that drivers carrying the right documents and doing the right things on our roads rather would prefer to take bribes and allow this unexperienced drivers, some of whom can not even read road signs and do not carry the proper document to continue driving. This is a very serious matter that we all have to raise our voices and to petition to those is authority to wake up to save inocent lives. Thank you!

Your don't buy a tire with no tread, crack(dry rot) and learn to read the dot number on side( if produced for use in usa their is stamp that gives year and date produced so don't use tire over 3-4 years old...Even a brand new ...

Some of the potholes are so big they can even swallow a Tico, Toyota Corolla and many other saloon cars. These are right in the middle of roads plied by government officials each week. The practice is that, if they have accidents with the taxpayer-funded SUV (assuming they survive), they just go and park the accident car and take another from the Castle pool. So, if someone is reading this and is from Logba, Hohoe, Jasikan or Kadjebi, wiil any of them tell me if they are going to vote in 2016. And what would they be voting for?

Used tires can be bought in usa too but must have tread and not overage..So anything thats not made in ghana should be allowed in with minimal import duties to repair cars,trucks & bus
