Education is the key to a life of helping others and supporting your family. If you are stuck in poverty, you never get out to help others from this trap. No allowance, no exit. I urge a reversal .

See what P/NDC and Mahama have for mother Ghana. This teacher trainees' allowance is even older than Mahama in years. Mahama should advice himself and step down from the SEAT OF PRESIDENCY. Mahama must be made to pay back to the Mother Ghana all money used to educate him, as he did enjoy the free education and now fooling about withdrawing this a token allowances for these students.

Most of the trainees find their way into other fields after the training and the purpose for which the allowances were given is defeated. How many SSSCE/WASSCE candidates are given allowances in the Universities of Education? Are they not also Ghanaians and coming to teach in our schools? How committed are they than those who were not given the allowances some decades ago? Mr. President go ahead and scrape the allowance.

I am about to enter into a teacher training college. For the records to all Ghanaians I will reject any rural posting. Also after my national service, I will encourage some of my colleagues to teach in a private Basic school which we will establish collaboratively. We have to think about the future before taking decisions today. A time will come when there will not be a single basic teacher in some of the public basic schools in the country. This may sound so funny today but with tears tomorrow. The poor has no more access to Ghanaian education. Prof Mills, rest in Perfect peace.

When i say them i mean one of those who were in the interest of Prez. Mahama cancelling the allowance would drive all the way to some of the colleges nearby and observe or interview some of the first years or level 100 students on the issues and problems they are facing for us being in the colleges just for a month..... Students need the allowances for a better learning... So that we can also be well committed to the profession we have chosen for ourselves.... God, help Ghana....wai

This is really bad because I want to go to Teachers Training College and now due to the withdrawal of the allowances,i don't know what to do now and i can't afford the University.In fact we shall see this election.Pres.Mahama will run down faster leaving his sandals at the flag staff house.You all enjoyed in Ghanaian schooling freely and you are what you are now so let us also enjoy some because paying fees is not even easy and the rate at which things are going high is too bad.
