My brother it looks like some vodoo economics is going on at the Jubilee house. Cutting budgets on anything to do with education and health is a sure way to disaster.

Despite the grammatical errors and illogical assumptions especially about Mahama's second term, etc, Umar analysis and reasoning is very good.
Mahma needs very seasoned and experienced team to manage the economy. I wonder is Jane Opoku Agyeman and Okudzeto-Ablakwa have analysed the simple CBA analysis put forward by Umar. Also, Tekper and his economic team only thinks by widening the tax net unnecessarily the will generate more revenue.
More revenue can be generated than taxes on condoms and removal of allowances by tighter and stricter controls of government expenditure at the ministries and other money laundering projects such as GYEEDA, SADA, RLG, etc. Imagine how much could have bee saved if the above projects and others such as the Aircraft hanger price inflation, the rot at Ghana Revenue Authorities at the Ports and Harbours, Judgement Debt and expenditures for other state subvented organisations have been avoided?
Mahama and his government are only milking Ghana and just using the taxpayers to pay for their wealth grabbing deals. We are waiting to see what the $1bn Eurobond will be used to serve Ghana's interest: over 10-15% will end up in Mahama and his cohorts private pockets under the auspices of GYEEDA, SADA, RLG or RLD-SADA-GYEEDA-ISQUE PROJECTS. Shame unto you Mahama.

Ghana can save millions of dollars if the money being diverted into private pockets from Ghana Revenue Authority and CUSTOMS will go straight to Government chest.Other Government agencies like the National Development Planning Commission of which P.V.Obeng is heading must be abolished.It's just a complete waste of public funds.Can somebody tell me what P.V. Obeng is "planning" for the nation.
