Surely a better case can be made against Ocquaye's revisionist reading of our history than what Bokor has served us here. And it can even be made in fewer words.

Apparently, Bokor himself has an agenda of discrediting others. In that way, he is not better than those he is trying to rebutt. A more impartial rendition of our history that fairly states the relative contributions of our early politicians to our country's founding is needed. Nkrumah stands tall in this history but Bokor has not done any credit to the narrative. What a shame!

Joni and you are so right. There is simply a lack of intellectualism in this writer's piece: no decorum, no self-respect, just rubble-rousing. This is more than a shame pity. The writer should ask himself three basic questions: (1)who is/are his audience(s)? (2)what is the purpose of his article? (3)Could he have presented the same facts with a more mature and non-abrasive manner?. I respect Professor Mike Ocquaye at least, for demonstrating such decorum: He never denigrated Dr. Nkrumah the way this writer has, in his reaction to Professor Ocquaye's article. My simple advice is this: As an intellectual (Dr) it is in the writer's supreme interest to always address the ISSUES at stake. The two-letter word, "Dr" should always remind those who hold the title to be circumspect in all that they do.

They don't go about calling themselves Dr so so and so. Other people, out of respect, address them as "Dr" but they don't themselves introduce themselves as Dr.

Even Okoampa and Akadu do not call themselves Dr so so. They write their names, and then add PhD at the end. That is the practice.

In his attempt to subjugate the Ghanaian people to deceipt and fraud Pro. Ocquaye tries to whitewash our history with his clever arguments. These are people regarded as automatically cultured and well housebroken yet they are agregious fools who are so foolish that they stand out from the herd.

Pro. Ocquaye's analysis and analogies about the Ghanaian history is intricate, far fetched and, finally cold. His re-write of history almost always has some brainiless about it that misses the meaning of logic.

Dr. Bokor, what do you expect! To my mind, Ocquaye's intellect is as much of a fantanstic figment of the imagination as the old chimera itself. Indeed to disagree would be an admission that Pro. Qcquaye has an IQ no higher than an unreplaced divot.

His view from his own narrow mind- bonded by hate suggests that his intellect has been greatly exaggerated. Thanks for seeking to expose the falsity of these conventional thieves.

By the way, greetings from our brothers and sisters in Israel; expecially to the Ghanaian Jews.

Danquah and his colleagues decleared the nation's preparedness to rule themsleve and during that declaration mentioned that their name is to be changed from gold coast to Ghana and our independence should be decleard on the 6th March. These are facts. The british founded Gold Coast which is Ghana today. Were a bundle of tribes and they forced us into one country call Gold Coast and that country was handed over to Kwame Nkrumah as first president. The only people close to founding Ghana could have been the kings of Ashanti. They fought to put most tribes into the Ashanti state and made most part of the present day Ghana part of Ashanti

Now, should the supreme court order the EC for an election rerun wouldn't they need the votes of all the splintered Nkrumahist parties in the North and Western Region? It may interest you to note that, yours truly has,on several occasions, condemned his own Akan politicians and Northerners - who have sought high positions within NPP and NDC to better themselves,instead of helping the people who voted them into office.

By the way,yours truly considers himself a Ghanaian first,then a man who belongs to all ethnic groups in Ghana.And will continue to speak against ALL tribalists - including those who benefit from their ethnicity.For instance,Obetsebi-Lamptey(son of a terrorist)would not be where he's today,had it not been for the fact that Akufo-Addo wanted a non-Asante/Akyem to play a secondary role within the party - and to give NPP the coloration of a "national party".

Of course it would be unfair to steal Nkrumah's place for him. He deserves his own place. A leader must be praised for what he could do. Of course, we must also speak against their shortcomings so that others would not emulate. You seem to have personal hatred for Danquah and the likes of his. Is it because of his tribe? Nkrumah, like Danquah and the other contemporaries, was no angel either. Each had his/her shortcomings. And most of the allegations against them tend out, after vigorous research, to be untrue. But we must praise them for their contributions so as to encourage others to also contribute. Denying Danquah or other members of "THE BIG SIX" a place in history would be a great miscarriage of justice. As experience as we perceive you to be, we expect that you overcome you tribal sentiments and PHD (Pull Him/Her Down) attitude.
We are all Ghanaians and we must be able to cross tribal barriers to selflessly give "Daavi" or "Owusu", "Akwele" or "Abdul" Caesar" his/her due. Thanks for the understanding.

All Ocquaye is saying is that before Nkrumah arrived, the struggle to free this parcel of land and the name to be given it, Ghana, had been started by JB. So if anybody is to be credited with the founding of this piece of land now called Ghana it should be JB Danquah and his colleagues.

It is a rare piece of genuine history that has no strings attached. So all your noise making and inferences have no bearing on what Ocquaye wrote.

When can Ghanaians be free and fair for once? Especially some of those who call themselves learned?
