So you consider having a twitter, instagram and facebook accounts as a virtue which will help a presidential candidate to win an election in Africa. Haba. Some of you Africans who just got to know these social media are very ignorant.
First of all, Alan Cash is more pompous than Akufo. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to know that. He refused to be part of the campaign team even when Akufo had tried to bring him on his campaign team.
Secondly, Alan no matter how hard some of you try to sell him as fante does not wash. He is seen as an Asante man and it was bad for NPP to use another Asante as their leader. The NDC were waiting for this opportunity to bring in their "tribal" propaganda against NPP. Even with Akufo, they still manage to call it an Asante-Akyem party.
Alan should not be allowed to lead the party. He was uncouth to resign from the party after the primaries. Nobody owns him a thing or two in the party. Bawumia should be encourage to lead the party.

Instead of blaming this on the NDC why not look at the articles of Okoampa, Adofo, Okatakyie etc plus Nana's comment of yen Akanfuo among others? This facts are enough to convince any one than the NDC propagandist machine can do.
You need to check on NPP Media men, they dont seem to understand the logic of democracy as a numbers game.
Exclusionary politics and right wing supremamcist polical parties are been rejected the world over.
Its sad that the arrogance and reckless pronouncements has caused the NPP of victory which should have been for them on silver plata. Hopefuy the new NPP leadership can learn and be better than those of the old stock.

What led to NPP's defeat originated from when Kufuor left the presidency. It was at that time that the party should have thrown their support behind the then vice president, Alieu Mahama but, the party chose otherwise and held primaries to elect Nana as their leader. With that, NPP had been branded as an Akan only party and it is working against them very well. There are those who will rubbish that idea but the facts are there to tell.
Politics, they say, is by the numbers and that is absolutely true. NPP cannot rely only on Ashanti and Eastern Region to win election and it up to the leaders to start adopting new strategies to win votes from other strongholds.
I will support the party to throw their weight behind Bawumia as their leading candidate to challenge Mahama just to erase the perception that NPP is an Akan party.
If the party choose another Akan to lead them, they will face another political disaster at the polls. Do not get me wrong because as I said earlier, politics is by the numbers and you do whatever to get enough votes to win elections. Right or wrong? NPP, with the right candidate, can defeat Mahama because the man had committed a lot political blunders especially, taxes and that only is a recipe for humiliating NDC at the polls.

Pelicles, the NPP gurus know very well that putting anybody but an Ashanti or an Akyem as the flag bearer will not bring them the votes in their strongholds to win elections in Ghana. If they put a Fanti as the leader of the party, they will lose any national election even though a Fanti-Arthur Kennedy is also considered as an Akan. The Ashantis and Akyems don't think Arthur Kennedy is Akan enough to warrant being their leader. They'll rather prefer to vote for me a Kwahu before voting for somebody without the Ashanti/Akyem enclave. You see, the party has a known 'demon' that needs to be exorcised from within before it can be loved and trusted by all. To break that curse, I would strongly advise the party to push for Bawumias election and stand behind him to campaign vigorously for him to win the 2016 election like their whole lives depend on him. Now, is this the road that the party will venture? Over our dead bodies!! I can hear those words echoing in all strong holds of the party.

NPP is at a crossroad; they either make a right and sensible decision to find their way back to take care of peoples' business or get lost in the jungle for years. Your take on this subject is right; it comes down to strategy, instead of status quo that is destroying NPP.
I have no words to describe my disappointment with Arthur-K for his political immaturity. I had always thought that by his intellect and birthplace, he stood the chance of being paired with a Presidential Candidate in the next election and use that as a springboard to become the President of Ghana one day. Then I don't know what has taken hold of him, he started attacking the leadership, especially with his take on Akufo's "all die be die." That was the reason why my choice at first even when they started this petition was Bawumia/Arthur-K, but not anymore. Of course, you can be honest and loyal to Ghana, but you need to be a team player to achieve your goals in place like Ghana.
Alan-K will eventually split from the party and form his own party if he loses the leadership. I have that feeling. If he gets the nod, then the Akyem people will try to force Bawumia to split from the party and make him a leader. If he refused to do that, they wouldn't campaign for him, sort of paying him back with his own coin That is a fact. After the primaries, we all know how Akufo tried to make him relevant in the leadership, but he just refused to be part of it. For some reason, after failing to be in court for even one day, he came down from wherever he was to join them at the Supreme Court. I knew then that he was praying for Akufo to lose and take the mantle from him from there.
Now, for Bawumia, despite some "pull him down" people in NDC attempts to degrade him, the guy is wise, intelligent, articulate and more popular than ever to lead the Party. This is what NPP should be careful and think wisely and select him for strategical reason. IF they failed to choose him, and choose Alan, the Asante-Akyem tribal tag place on them by the NDC will doom the party forever. This should guard their conscience in picking up the next leader.
If he is selected, I believe he had the chance to duke it out with Mahama in the 3 Northern regions and the "Zongo" areas in Ashanti, Eastern, BA, and other regions. Mostly, those Zongo areas are predominantly Muslims and they would be more happy to see a first Muslim President of Ghana than just a Christian Northerner.
I know some of you don't want to talk about tribal politics in our country, but these are real and NDC use it as weapon for their course. Also, the reason why NDC chalked almost 30% in Ashanti Region and more than 40% in Eastern is because the Zongo believe that it was now their turn to move from the perpetual 2nd place to the 1st place. These are facts, and NPP better stop being in denial and think deeply.
I also believe that with or without reforms in the EC for the next election, NPP should use their numerous delegates as poll agents and stop sending school boys to the polling stations. If they are too big to become polling agents (party representative) at the polling stations, they are not qualified to be delegates.
Let Mahama keeps on talking without doing anything and take Ghanaian electorate as fools, the same electorate that cane together to vote Kufuor and changed their love affairs with NPP will do that again, in spite of turning our political discourse into insults, innuendos and tribal rantings.

You've said it all, but be ready for serious attacks and insults from same NPP folks. Come join the NDC to help move mother Ghana forward and please leave the NPP alone. Have you realized how NPP MPs attack Dr. Wereko Brobe when he expressed his views about the election petition? The NPP has a lot of clean up to do and l promise you that, the NDC will keep using NPP's own bad utterances to overpower them at all times. This was very funny: how can one be the Witness in Chief, but would keep saying that "you and I were not there" and can anyone convince the SC to accept allegations that he did not physically witness and also refused or prevented respondent lawyers from questioning those who made the said allegations? Also, if 8 people contested for an election and some did vote without biometric as alleged, how do one determine the number of voters who actually voted for one party without accepting the print-outs from the voting machines used in those polling stations? The NPP objected almost all documents from the EC and the NDC, but the justices were smart enough to toss their strategy to rule Ghana at all course. God bless you too.

There should be a serious rethinking of the NPP's agenda. As of now many Ghanaians believe NPP is a sectarian party. Utterances from some of the core leadership of the party lends credence to that view. Even if the party elects a younger candidate as its flag bearer as you suggested, the party has to welcome the rest of the country with open arms. The party should develop grassroot support from all the regions. This support shouldn't be seen as just going to support the Akan faction for political power. All the ethnic groups should feel as players in the party in and out of power. The irony of the situation is NPP wants to rule Ghana with mandate of only two electoral regions. That should not be allowed to happen.

Must we change our coat of arms from the richness of “freedom” and the security of “justice” to “Peace at all cost”! Must we change our national anthem to exclude ‘resist the oppressors rule’ to “support oppressors rule” Must we include in our national anthem ‘Ghanaians, we are corrupt, we cannot stand for anything so we fall for everything” Must we include “Our corruption is buttressed by our Supreme Corrupt or Supreme Court judges? Must we include ‘We are peace lovers, so if you want to steal from us please do so if and only if we give us peace” We love peace. We value peace a byproduct of our values over everything.” When it come stop values we are certainly on the opposite side of life in the US. Let Americans say “Give me liberty or death” We Ghanaians will say give me enslavement in peace’ let Americans say ‘ live free or die’ We Ghanaians say it is better to live in servitude called peace
How do we explain the events of August 29, 2013? Shall we call it the day of infamy or the day Ghana died? The truth must be told by all the judges as to what happened from 8 am to 1 pm when the nine judges were all together. I am prepared to die or to be incarcerated for life for challenging this unexplained episode. How does one explain the complete overshadow of a transparency process with an opaque conclusion which produces a bizarre outcome which can only be explained as a travesty of justice. How does a transparency process produce an opaque outcome which makes a mockery of the transparency process and the rule of law and justice?
Was there blackmail? Were judges threatened? Were judges paid bribes to sell their consciences and their nation? Was there interference or obstruction of justice and who was involved and why was this made to stand? Are the three noted personalities really involved in this criminal obstruction of justice? Surely the people must know. We hear rumors and rumors because those who know are not talking and those who are talking may not know. This creates problems for the future which may shake the foundation of this country. We deserve to know the truth. No more lies. No more “nkontompo””
Ghana has witnessed a farce of a dangerous nature. The presence of criminal elements in the judiciary has been exposed. A clean process was caught in the cultural web of lies, deceit and corruption. In the end Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, Dr. Bawumia and Jake saw their civil and human rights abused by the very institution and system set up to protect them. If persons of these capacities can see naked abuse, what is left to the common man? Why do we have criminal justice system in Ghana now? It is time to release all the prisoners. This is because the real criminals are now in charge of the nation.

The justices of the SC should have declared Nana as president eh? So that will entail justice eh? Please analyze the court proceedings and you would see that no sane person could give the verdict to Nana.
