How stupid can this Kpakpogh be? He should be grateful to the Kwahus, Asantes, and Akyems for making Accra what's today. Without these groups Accra will be like what he calls the traditional Ga areas like Teshie, James Town, Bukom, Nungua and others where people either shit on the beach or in latrin pans. Political power comes with economic power which the Gas lack. These are people who think about their stomachs than education and hard work. Gas are natural born lazy which is a fact. They want easy life hence those who are educated are satisfied when they find employment in the civil service. Do you remember the Ghana Airways? About 90% of the employees were Gas and look at what happened to the airlines. Every Ga who find himself or herself abroad travelled free of charge on Ghana Airways. It's no wonder that after the demise of the airline all Gas are stuck in Accra. Gas are people who will organize the most lavish wedding and after the ceremony go back and stay in the family home of the husband at Chorkor or Bubuashie. Unless the Gas realize that hard work makes success they 'll continue to be dominated by not only the Asantes, Kwahus, and the Akyems but, even the northerners in their own vicinity.

During the last year or so its has become clear to almost every child the ethnocentric racist anti Akan vicious propaganda directed mainly against the innocent Ashanti and Akyems .Even here on this forum we witness the daily insults , defamation and systematic character assination of any Akan leader who dares raise his voice to cry foul. The Akans lead by the Fantis are fighting back just as they in the early 90's with prof eduboahen and this happened last year after the murder of Mills. these ewe and northerners think if they bribe a few paramount chiefs and buy off Akuffo Addo as they have done they can go back to the business of looting the coffers but not so . They are overwhelmed by the resistance which is being lead by the family heads and the clans . since most the people here writing under false Akan names dont see the difference continue to harass the ashantis and akyems who by the way rarely ever contribute anything to this forum . this prof awonoor has mislead his people into a war they will surely loose , battle after battle they are pounded and bashed , the sophistication of their devious divide and rule strategy has been exposed and backfired ,today the Akans are more united than ever so much so the the Ashantis and akyems no more participate but are standing on the sidelines watching as they are surprised at the fury and determination of the rest of the Akans to rid themselves of this yoke of oppression. Akans will never peacefully accept to be second class citizens like the Indians in Latin America and fight the hegemony and tribalism with these same tools rather than just brushing it off and pretending it doesn't exist . the battle-lines have been drawn in the minds of every Ghanian and as things escalate the business of governance is slowly grinding to a halt soon from verbal warfare we move to open rejection of the govt of the day which will most likely end up in true war . we can not build and develop a sustainable economy if the ayigbe and pepeni can only be focused on the destruction of the Akans and looting the wealth of the nation , sadly when we say this all they say is that their hate is justified and their time has come to chop some . let it be known Akans make up almost 70% of the population, have 90% of the wealth and natural resources and that this govt that practically has less than 10% Akan participation is illegitimate and even the foreign banks and investors have noticed this and are withdrawing , the rest like the Chinese , Indians , Muslim Lebanese and Turkish will soon risk never being paid . billions have been borrowed but nobody has seen any benefits but it has ended up in the bottomless pits of the greed of the ndc pepeni and ayigbe . we propose secession as a peaceful exit to this mess , if persuasion fails force will be applied , long live the republic of Akan

The Ga also include groups occupying Anecho area in Togo, and Ga-Mashie in the central part of Accra, Nungua, and other Ga speakers who migrated from Anecho area in Togo, and surrounding areas.

Origin and History
The modern Ga is an ethnic group of several origins including possibly some distant origin with the Volta-Niger speakers.[4] Genetic studies indicate that the modern Ga-Adangbe are closer to Akan genetically.[5] Linguistically the Ga-Adangbe speak a kwa language which is closest to Akan and are a patrilineal people.
Due to the Geopolitical significance of the Land the Ga occupy the ethnic group has historically mixed with Akans thus aspects of the Akan culture can be seen within Ga culture.[6][7]"

Hmm! One, for indepth understanding, want to find out who comprise the Volta-Niger speakers but significant amongst them are the Gbe, which designation covers Ewe and Fon speakers as well as the Yorubas.
One may ask what Ga-Adangmes are doing in Anexo (Aneho, Anecho) and Agotime in the midst of supposed Eweland? BTW, all the land from Ada Foah to Big Ada were part of Eweland before the Adangme fugitives moved in to join them. Just ask any Ada elder. That's the the Kudzragbe Clan, one of the 3 Ewe in origin clans of Ada. are the biggest land owners. If one finds out these things, then one can begin to understand why so many people from "Eweland", whom some Gas choose to call derisively "Ayigbes" without a clue to the origin of the epithet.
Btw, what's Fiifii Kwetey doing being an MP for Ketu South? with such a name, clearly, he can't be an Ewe?
I've a load of qs to ask and a ton of things to say but I am busy now.

That's why the Kudzragbe Clan, one of the 3 Ewe in origin clans of Ada, are the biggest land owners. You can read all about that in "The Making of Ada" by C.O.C. Amate, even though he lied about the causes of the wars fought b/n the Adas and Anlos. If he admitted those Ewes were the subjects of the Anlo king, then he couldn't expect the Anlos to be cut off from what they once presided over. If one finds out about these things, then one can begin to understand why so many people from "Eweland", whom some Gas choose to call derisively "Ayigbes" without a clue to the origin of the epithet, choose to move to and settle in Accra once peace had returned to Accra, and the Akwamus were no longer chasing everybody around to feed the slave ships.
Btw, what's Fiifii Kwetey doing being an MP for Ketu South? With such a name, clearly, he can't be an Ewe? And what's the descendants of Tettegah, an Ada man doing being the Dusifiaga (Right-wing or Krorbor Division) of the Anlos? If these "Ayigbes" choose to continue to remain silent while we are all attacked and insulted cos of them, some of us shall break the taboos about not mentioning the origins of people and speak out.

Surely the leadership of political parties should be based on ability and not tribal affinities. Ga people are few in number compared to the population as a whole yet some of them seem to think that they have some god-given right to "lead" just because they occupy the capital city. If and when a suitable Ga person arrives on the political scene then surely he will be considered for leadership. At this point in time there does not appear to any such person on the horizon. In the meantime let us refrain from these tribalistic leanings and lets strive towards good leadership as opposed to the tribal make up of such leadership. Ghana (and its captal city) belongs to all of us regardless of which part of it that we hail from.

My family, even though not Ga, have lived in Accra since the 1920s, married Ga men and women and consider ourselves more Ga than our own tribes. People don't even know me when I visit my own town. So if someday I decide to contest any of the Ga constituencies as an MP, especially where I grew up at Palladium, is Mr. Allottey saying that I cannot since I am not native Ga? And it will be wrong for the people of the area to vote for me since I am from a different tribe?

A butcher in a Meat shop in Teshie is leaning on the counter toward the close of day when a dog with a basket in its jaws comes pushing through the door.
"An' wot's this then?" he asked. The dog knocks the basket sharply into the butcher's shins.
"You dumb dog." As he reaches down to smack the dog, he notices a note and a ten Cedi bill in the basket.
The scribble on the note asks for three pounds of his best mince [ground beef]. The butcher figures this is too easy. He goes to the window and reaches for the dried up stuff that's been sitting out all day.
The dog growls at him. The butcher turns around and, glaring at the pup, gets the best mince from the fridge. Weighing out about 2 1/2 pounds, he drops in on the scale with his thumb.
"Hmmmmm, a bit shy. Who'll know?"
Again, the dog growls menacingly. "Alright, alright," as he throws on a generous half pound. He wraps it out, drops it in the basket, and drops in change from a five. The dog threatens to chew him off at the ankles. Another five goes in the basket.
The butcher is quite impressed and decides to follow the piddy pup home. The dog quickly enters a high-rise buildings, pushes the lift button, enters the lift, and then pushes the button for the 12th floor. The dog walks down the corridor and smartly bangs the basket on the door. The door opens, and the dog's owner screams at the dog.
"Hey, what are you doing? That's a really smart dog you've got there," comments the butcher.
He's a stupid dog--that's the third time this week he's forgotten his key.
HENRY KPAKPO IS THE STUPID DOG OWNER HIMSELF.THE SMART DOG DOES NOT NEED THE KEYS EITHER BECAUSE HE CAN SMARTLY BANG THE BASKET ON THE DOOR AND BE LET IN.

This piece is pathetic to say the least. IAssuming there were no bonafide Ga leaders, why can't you suggest pragmatic ways to groom the next generation or offer yourself for national election? Your criticism of Hon Ayikoi Otoo is most unfair. Clearly, you are clueless on the role of lawyers in society, which would lead me to believe that you also lack a basic understanding of what leadership is all about. Go back to basics and study leadership 101. It will purge you of all your demons: Bigotry, Tribalism, Xenophobia, Myopic and contrived ideologies that you espouse. People like you are capable of instigating more dangerous viterols than what Ken Adjapong allegedly hurled on radio. Get a life, if you have nothing of substance to say, please be quiet!!

Kpakpo Allotey there are few things you should know
1. that some of your ancestors were Ewe's , Ayi (Ayigbe?)
2. there is no human on earth who can claim to be an absolute/pure native.
3. are you aware of the inter-marriages and conceptions between Ewes, Akwapems, Awutu(Obutu), Dangmes (Osudoku, Prampram/Gbugblah, Denkyeras- Otublohu etc and those from the Northerners who were the caretakers for the Ga absentee landlords/family/stool landlords (e.g Bubiashie). Inter-marriages between Gas and the early Europeans, Portugese and the Dutch. Apart from your economic argument, the Gas are not known to foster unity among themselves. They are more willing to show favour to the stranger more than to their own Ga. Is it because of the popular saying 'gbor nii ayeor'?(literally meaning - eat from the stranger).
5. Gas are no respecters of their leaders and families, especially, those from poor and humble families who made it to the top.
6. Sorry but on the whole the Gas lack principle, they are not risk takers and are just simply complacent.
