What this stupid Professor does not seem to realize is that Ashanti prior to the arrival of Okomfo Anokye were running around in herds, like elephants in their must. Until Okomfo Anokye from Anokyi in Eastern Nzema, an Nzema, became their sheperd and started their domestication and re-engineering, by planting trees to be used as pseudo cultural rehabilitation environs to inoculate into their beings obligatory humane conscience, a strategy kufuor sought to emulate in regard to his classroom under tree educational policy of recent memory.

Had apparently worked before, because like Nkrumah, when Anokye was approached by his friend Osei Tutu to help him rein in his bare bottoms he never failed him. And that was how Kumasi, the pride of all 'the ingrates' came to be, just so that we are clear no ashanti has ever founded or originated anything physical or spatial including their so called Kingdom, which Anokye engineered as a perfunctorily courtesy. Now to our learned mad man.

"Getting to the end of the 17th century Anokye Komfuo(a fetish priest from Anokyi) still extant in Nzema East, by the invitation of Osei Tutu planted three "KUM" trees at different places in asante. One at Kwaaman supervised by the Nananomayokofuo, a second one at Apemso-Bankofo nurtured by Nananomaduanafuo and a third a village near Fomena and Amoafo called Oboani attended to by Nananomekuonafuo.

The Kum tree at Kwaaman flourished and became a very big tree under which Osei Tutu the renegade nephew, of the then King of Denkyira, the original monarch of everything asante, and his people often gathered, therefore Kwaaman became Kum-ase meaning under Kum.

The tree at Oboani was however very tiny and for no apparent reason was relatively short. According to oral tradition this small tree however produced a couple of other trees which were all small in size. The name of the village was changed to Kuma meaning small KUM.

The Kum tree at Apemso-Bankofo did not grow at all. After some few weeks the leaves got rotten and the tree fell down and so it was said that the Kum tree had perished or the Kum tree was dead and so the village became Kum-awu and this later changed to become Kumawu.

Why is Osei Tutu the founder of the ashanti kingdom and not his friend Okonfo Anokye who manifested the phantom extraterrestral golden stool?

"Kumasi was captured by the British Army in 1873 (as a result of which much of the magnificent Asante gold regalia can be seen in London in the British Museum). After a final uprising in 1901, led by the Queen Mother of Ejisu (Yaa Asantewaa) ashanti was defeated and to put it mildly surrendered into British Protection and finally BECAME A TERRITORY of the Gold Coast colony."

So now dear Professor who, redeemed your mama along with your entire mortgaged ancestors! The little boy says, "It's dark in here."
The man whispers, "Yes, it is."
Boy - "I have a Football."
Man - "That's nice."
Boy - "Want to buy it?"
Man - "No, thanks."
Boy - "My dad's outside."
Man - "OK, how much?"
Boy - "250 Cedis."

In the next few weeks, it happens again that the boy and the mom's lover end up in the closet together.

Boy - "It's dark in here."
Man - "Yes, it is."
Boy - "I have a Soccer glove glove."
Man - Remembering last time, asks, "How much?"
Boy - "750 Cedis."
Man - "Fine.
A few days later, the father says to the boy, "Grab your ball and glove. Let's go outside and play the football."

The boy says, "I can't. I sold them."

The father asks, "How much did you sell them for?"

The son says "1,000 Cedis."

The father says, "It's terrible to overcharge your friends like that. That's way more than those two things cost. I'm going to take you to church and make you confess."
