All these scandals ,tribal ethnic biased anti Akan ministerial appointments non action on worthy projects and action on foolishness and stupid corrupt deals. his mentor is kuffuor whose greatest achievement was to give all our gold fields to foreigners who dont invest a single penny in our economy but take out over 10 billion dollars a year . his weak ayigbe national security could not advise him to do what president putin of russia did , nationalise the mines and give it to local corrupt Akans and others , then tax them well. instead we run around trying to borrow this same money and watch as the various superpowers play with us , where is the wisdom in that ? pepeni you a big fool and chronically retarded as you have no shame, integrity , honor or decency yourself . you can only understand indecency and insults as thats what gets registered. instead of going out there to acquire technologies that will create jobs, factories and self reliance for our people you attend useless meetings that bring nothing. you have failed us like all the others before you and we look forward gloomy future because you wont step aside so those with courage knowledge and real projects based on sound macroeconomics take over. commot from there

  You are right to be indignant at the way the elite has and is frittering away state resources but you are wrong to be focussing on only one party in this particular case. Are you satisfied that a public official will enter into a high-stakes transaction, as was done by Mr Tsikata, in which he confessed he had no expertise? His excuse was that he was not the one who approached Societe Generale but rather SG approached him. He further said that they promised to train GNPC staff in derivatives, after the contract has been signed.
  
  Mr Thompson, would you sign an agreement with a salesman, who knocked on your door, selling a service you do not understand on the promise of training some of your children afterwards to understand the service? You will not and such is the cavalier attitude of some of our elite to recklessly incur liability for the state. A good CEO would seek independent advice before entering into such a contract.
  
  With those who settled the case, it is also legitimate to ask questions on why they settled. They have volunteered to appear before the Sole Commissioner, so why don’t we wait to hear their side of the story?
  
  It may not be true that the case which was litigated in the US was the same as that litigated in London. The US case was to detain the ship whilst operating in Mexico. I do not know the details, but it may be that the US declined jurisdiction. The London suit was to recover a debt of $47m dollars, for which the ship had been seized. If a court granted that the ship be seized, it means there was prima facie case established that GNPC did in fact owe Societe Generale.
  
  Have you also for one moment tried to put your self in the shoes of those who agreed that the ship be sold to liquidate the debt. They were facing a potential (I did not say certain) adverse ruling to pay $47m dollars; they had mounting legal costs, which at the time was in arrears to the tune of £500,000. There was a further estimate of £700,000 to completion. There was the risk of Societe Generale being awarded costs against GNPC should their case prevail. Each day that the ship was detained, the cost of keeping it was also accruing. So this scenario was also a gambling position, also giving the fact that GNPC owed other foreign banks and could not even afford to pay its workers at the time. It could have cost the state double the amount in question or nil, if GNPC were to prevail. In such a scenario, would you settle for $19.5m? I want to throw this out there among our considerations.
  
  But seriously, until we are prepared to hold all and everybody accountable, this throwing of blame at one side or the other will never help Ghana. When we do that the actual issues are clouded to be overtaken by politics. We then allow the same elite we are complaining about room to wriggle out.
  
  By the way I support the call for the remaining $3.5m from the sale of the ship to be traced. I have no doubt that this would be the preoccupation of the Sole Commissioner when Messrs Kan-Dapaah and K T Hammond appear before him.

  - They tried to use you for their own personal gains, by pussy-footing with the British.
  - You the brave warrior did not stand for that and went ahead to gain OUR independence for us.
  - They got so angry that, they decided to go back to ask the Queen not to give us independence because we were not ready?
  - Why then did they ask you to come and help them gain OUR independence in the first place? Was their so-called struggle really meant for Ghana?
  - They then decided to de-stabilize their own country because you showed them the way and HOW to gain independence not to pussy-foot around the struggle,
  - They continued with their destabilization of their own country by throwing bombs (present day terrorism); and eventually connived with the very same people (and their partners) they got independence from, to topple your government. How sad!
  - They then put in place stooges.....
  who stemmed all the progress you made for OUR nation and the looting of OUR nation's assets and rich natural resources for themselves and also to appease their collaborators of the coup; up till this present day.
  - That is where they have brought us now, Osagyefo! That is where the GREEDY, SELFISH, IGNORANT, SHAMELESS lot have brought us today............
  
  You left us with 100% of all our rich natural resources and infrastructural monuments to lead us to a true economic and political independence.
  
  But guess what?...............ALL, and I mean ALL our rich natural resources have and is still being sold to the same people (we gained independence from and their cronies/the coup-plotters) on the very cheap, for their own personal gains, as usual.
  
  Other actors came on the seen to rectify things, but Kutu Acheampong could not do it alone, But I applaud him for his bravery and at least did a lot for OUR dear nation. Better than all the others after you and till this present day.
  
  OSAGYEFO, all that you did for us have gone to waste! The greedy ones are still using the structures you put in place and are still using your policies as their party political 'mantra' in their campaigns till this very day......how sad! They lack ideas!
  
  Oh! Osagyefo! Your dear nation is bleeding to death! Those in power now, (the wolves in sheep clothing) are also in bed with the children of the coup-plotters and running the nation dry.
  
  Osagyefo, the Ghana you left behind is
  still filled with CORRUPT, GREEDY, SELFISH and LIARS from all walks of the the political spectrum and most of the populace..............have lost the purpose of their own human existence and see nothing valuable about themselves and worship everything foreign. To the extent of importing toothpicks!!!!
  
  Here we are 2013,.......our so-called leaders and politicians have divided the nation into followers of their two most USELESS parties our nation have ever known; preaching tribal gutter politics.....to the demise of our citizens.

  Oh! Ghana! Monday, September 23, 2013, should be taken as a day of reflection (starting tomorrow in church), on where we could have been now......had we known!!!!!!! Being a lawyer does not give you the technical knowhow in everything. So the great financial wizard of Rawlings was exposed and lost millions of dollars for Ghana by betting against the pros in the business - Societe Generale Bank. Then he tried to get out of paying up by indulging in court cases. Give us the details of these court cases. Tsatsu must be brought to book. We must not allow criminals like him to use the resources of Ghana anyway they like while creaming off the top. How did he become a dollar millionaire? I weep for Ghana.
