For sure if it is true that Mr. Gyasi is already financially affiliated with ECG, then he must be in violation to accept the Board Chairmanship of ECG.

Koku, who is the writer here is not only an idiot but a tribalist and nation wrecker. This idiot once wrote here that NPP are trying to destroy GYEEDA and should leave GYEEDA alone. Just weeks after his article, we started hearing about all these corruptions going on with GYEEDA.

When NPP started complaining about conflict of interest about Asiedu Nketia and Bui Dam business, this idiot came out swinging and defending Asiedu Nketia. NO, it is about conflict of interest, it is about tribalism and "yen kye di" or "ebi di keke." If you are not a Northerner or an Ewe and certainly not NDC member, you should not receive any contract or be appointed for anything in the country.

When did conflict of interest become important to NDC members? Has Tony Lithur not been rewarded with post at the Airport right after helping Mahama to win the petition case? And why were they defending Asiedu Nketia when NPP complained about him selling his own cements to Bui dam company while he is still Board member of Bui Dam Company. What nonsense is this?

How can this Nation develop with such tribalism, vindictiveness, stupidity and absolute partisan politics.

The fact that the Managing Director / Owner of Tropical Cable is the Board Charmian of ECG, does not mean there should be any issues of conflict.

ECG, as it is, needs to have a Board which understands the industry within which it operates and Mr Tony Oteng Gyasi fits the position too well for this.

In my opinion, the opposition to his appointment is because, he is perceived by some sections of the society to belong to the opposition party NPP. When will Ghana grow? Some few years back President Kuffour appointed some members of opposition parties to Boards of State Owned Enterprises; Notable among them were Hon. Mike Gizo of the NDC and Professor Hagan of the CPP. Indeed , he went to the extent of appointing Hon. Paa Kwesi Nduom as a Minister in his government.

When are we going to move ahead of petty politics.

Those who are making ugly noises about Tony Oteng Gyasi's appointment should STOP immediately.
