After all--the ICC prosecutions are lop-sided.

MY FATHER WAS PART OF THE FIRST BATTALION ARMY WHO SAW ACTION IN THE CONGO.
WHEN KWAME NKRUMAH REMOVED GENERAL ALEXANDER AS HEAD OF THE GHANA ARMY FOR PLEASING THE INTEREST OF THE WESTERN POWERS,HE REPLACED HIM WITH GENERAL ANKRAH AND THAT WAS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE HE MADE.
IF GENERAL ALEXANDER HAD REMAINED AS COMMANDER OF THE GHANAIAN TROOPS,PATRICE LUMUMBA WOULD HAVE BEEN ALIVE.
THE GHANAIAN TROOPS REPEATED THE SAME MISTAKES IN LIBERIA BY NOT PROTECTING SAMUEL DOE TILL HIS DEATH.
WE ARE OUR OWN ENEMIES.
THE WHITE MAN DID NOT COME T OUR CONTINENT TO KILL US,WE DO THE KILLING FOR THEM.
MANY OF THE PATRICE LUMUMBA TROOPS WERE DISARMED BY GHANAIAN SOLDIERS,SO THEY HAD NO MEANS TO FIGHT.

Whether they come killing us themselves or they buy some of our own off to kill the rest of us, the primary concern is whether or not and why they want us dead.

Kotoka and Ankrah faulted Nkrumah for sending them to Congo. So, surely, they would not do their utmost to fulfill the mission for which they were sent there.

Nkrumah was himself a most detested and feared leader by the West, and even though the British acquiesced to Ghana's Independence, the West always sought for Nkrumah to fail, especially when he had declared that Ghana's Independence was meaningless unless it facilitated the freeing of other Colonies from their European subjugation.

One thing we sadly overlooked is that when one fights for one's freedom from anyone's stranglehold, and it even seems like the oppressor had let go of the one, it does not mean the oppressor has totally given up on purpose for which he or she initiated his or her imposition.

Nkrumah should have known right from the beginning that he was the target of not only the British but all the West. It was a simple delegation of responsibility to the CIA by the British and the Europeans to get rid of Nkrumah. He was their greatest threat in our part of the World at that time, and they could not bear to have Lumumba augment Nkrumah's vision for Africa.

Let us see how the ICC take this suggestion. I bet they would not move to convict themselves.

They easily turned him into a dictator they could justify helping his own folks to get rid off. He probably believed too much in his base for the necessary support to emerge triumphant. But he never could be shielded from the West's plots. He never had a formidable security. Neither did Lumumba. Our natural extended relationships we culturally draw on in Africa made Communism so attracted to us. But we failed to discern the critical difference between our Communal interdependence and Communism as practiced in the East. We, especially in Ghana, never loathed Capitalism. Capitalism was ingrained in our sheer psyche. It had been part of us down the ages. Many are those who thought the two were closely similar and therefore may have failed to advise the first President of the wrong perception. On the other hand, Nkrumah could have known the difference but saw his so-called Scientific Socialism as a uniquely appropriate path for Africa's advancement. But for all I know, just the hint of Socialism in any form was deeply scary to the West as the spread of Soviet influence in their old farmyard. And they would not stand for it. Nkrumah was believed to have been driven by the violent opposition tactics to be too harsh on his opponents, making them hate him the more. But his introduction of Socialism into Ghana, provided a real handle for the West to justify his overthrow and a convenient common grounds for the West and Nkrumah's internal enemies to work together for his ouster. Don't you think?

Let us see how the ICC take this suggestion. I bet they would not move to convict themselves.

One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the pond to look it over, as he hadn’t been down there for a while. He grabbed a five-gallon bucket to bring back some fruit. As he neared the pond, he heard splashing and female voices shouting and laughing with glee. As he came closer he saw that 5 young women had parked their car at the side of the road, climbed the fence and were skinny-dipping in his pond. He made the women aware of his presence and they all went hurriedly splashing to the deep end.

When he reached the city he went to pee at the corner at the street, but while peeing the donkey ran away.

The old villager spent all day looking for his beloved donkey, but as the night fell he decided to find a place to rest.

As he had no money, he went to a hotel where he found an open room and laid under the bed to rest.

No African leader stood up to voice that out.....for fear of being overthrown or sanctions being placed on them.....leading to their overthrow.

How can the AU even stand up to the ICC, if the AU itself is being financed by the EU???

And my other beef is what are African countries doing in the COMMONWEALTH?.........which obviously does not share their wealth commonly across board.

Our new breed of leaders have lost the plot and do not care about their own citizens.
