I do not agree with this writer, If he say the Npp made Nana Popular by means of finance and all sorts of things he mentioned in his write ups then he has lost the road. W e the people of NPP are still having the support of Nana. WE all now knew how the so called THE SUPREME COURT OF GHANA sold their mind. The whole world is a witness. Thanks to the LIVE COVERAGE of the case. We still need Nana if he will accept our request. We need some one who is stand tall to fight the corruption that has killed our dear country. Nana is not corrupted and therefore can stand straight for the fight.

I disagree completely with the writer especially when he tries to portray Nana Addo as someone who has been unable to take advantage of his past ministerial role to project himself and the party. The writer will sound convincing only if he can tell Ghanaians what the Kuffours, Atta-Mills, achieved for Ghana before being elected as presidents? Zero! The writer should tell me what Kyeremanteng, Wireko-Brobbey etc. have achieved for Ghana that Nana has not that makes them better as leaders of the party. What wins elections is unity of purpose of a political party and not the divisiveand hypocritical practices being played by Kuffour and his henchmen. Where were these people when Nana Addo and co. were fighting the military dictatorship of Rawlings at the peril of their lives? If Nana Addo of all people should be denied president then Ghana is not a country worth dying for!

I will not list down all the important things Nana Addo has done but I vividly remember going to NPP's Headquaters at Kokomemle in Accra in 1992.I was told that the building belongs to Nana Addo's family.I met the Chairman,Mr Da Rocha and Mr Joseph Agynim Boateng the General Secretary there.The office was not too far from the Statesman printing press also owned by Nana Addo.In those days it was only the Statesman newspapers that NPP could use to oppose J.J.Rawlings.On the other hand,I don't believe popularity alone wins presidential élections else Mahama will not beat Nana Addo.In short,it will be better for Nana Addo to step aside because all his strategies have failed.The fact that he keeps winning only 2 regions which is not enough to carry the day.The NPP needs new strategy,they must face the reality and use a fresh strategic presidential candidate to win the 2016 general elections.Thank you.

The point I am making is that popularity does not win élections but strategy and good organisation do.Now listen,if NPP wants to win élections then it's not going to depend on Nana Addo's popularity but the facts on the ground.For 2 different general élections Nana Addo has failed the presidency and the parliamentary by win only 2 regions out of 10.Ask yourself why Nana Addo is not winning more than 2 first.The answer will give you the new strategy.I am afraid the new strategy will demand a new candidate who can win at least 4 important régions.That will come from the 2 strongholds,Ashanti and Eastern régions plus 2 swing régions.I am sure you know that the swing régions are not for NPP or NDC,so how do you win from there?I will leave it for you to imagine if you really want to win power.I have an idea who that strategic candidate could be but there are other factors.Thank you.

People need to understand that it's unity of purpose of individuals in any organisation that ensures victory. If all will rally around Nana Addo, as was done for Kuffour when he was less known and popular before 1996, victory will be certain for NPP in 2016 if Nana decides to be the flagbearer. Let Kyeremanteng or whoever be voted as flagbearer, if the current Pull-Him-Down attitude does not stop within the NPP victory will again elude us in 2016- The loss would be "clueless and masterful", apologies to the detractor, Wireko-Brobbey.

Dear writer, the supreme court hearing was beamed live to our living rooms and work places. We all witnessed the most undignified, awful, corrupt and subversive miscarriage of justice ever pronounced from our SC in recent times. That BRIBERY won the election for Mahama is an understatement.
Within the NPP itself, lies the treasure that will solve their most challenging quest." HOW TO WIN ELECTIONS". The party must do away with factionalism and derive their flag bearer from the formal properties of choice independent of substantive ethnic sways. NANA ADDO DANKWA AKUFFO ADDO IS A WINNER. Your carefully crafted reasons for change, are hollow so far as NANA as a candidate is concerned. With proper enforcement of election rules in Ghana, NANA will win hands down.
GENUINE UNITY IN NPP IS NEEDED MORE NOW THAN EVER. Only then will the GANGS be seen off.
