  Brand Ghana was a sham to start with. This belongs to either the Foreign Affairs ministry or Information Ministry. No need to create a branding agency. All embassies and high commissions should be about selling Ghana i.e. branding. Branding should be developed from Accra.

  The brand Ghana venture was a non-starter. In a situation where filth, corruption, armed robbery, naked stealing by government officials and their cronies abound, how will you brand? What will you be branding? The filth. We need to 'clean up' first and until that is done we shall just be wasting money. Was it not recently revealed that Government obtained USD82M from world bank for urban sanitation projects, the money has been spent but the filth is back? We should just kill the brand Ghana office for now. Nothing will be achieved. Or is it that countries that have a positive, attractive image achieved that through the effort of brand offices?

  There are many ways of branding a product (including a country such as ours). Yes, it is true some countries have taken to the TV studios to adverstise themselves as business and tourist destinations e.g. Indonesia, Malaysia, South Africa.
  
  However there are so many other unofficial ways we can brand our country including what you and I CAN DO WHEREVER WE ARE. What have you done today to promote the image of Ghana? Have you thought of that?
  
  Yes, we may need a "Brand Office" within ministries to help promote us but I believe the government is making efforts to put Ghana on the map, including some of the president's own recent showing internationally and what the country is doing in various international roles, not to talk of how we conducted ourselves in the recent electoral impasse.
  
  I meet foreigners all the time in different countries who continue to tell me how much Ghana is respected and the business prospects, opportunities and level of international engagement that is taking place.
  
  Somehow some people have made it their agenda to derail this image and process by somehow trying to create the impression the country is badly run and nothing good is coming our of the country. I hope you are not one of such unpatriotic souls.
  
  You can do a lot to contribute to the process including writing balanced articles with level headed views which are more likely to be heeded than by being so negative in your perspective. Who do you expect to raise the flag if you wouldn't?
