When Kennedy Agyepong unveiled the mystery surrounding Woyome, what was the reaction of some of his tribesmen? Volta Region chiefs put on their "never worn" clothes, went to the Castle and issued a warning to then the president Mills that he should leave "their prodigal son" alone since he means a lot to them. This alone should tell us that Woyome will never "vomit" the money and no court can force him to do that. If I am wrong, why he is still walking shoulder high as.....

We should all remember that the ruling party labeled him as "party financier" and what is the exact meaning of that knowing that the man used dubious means before getting the money? Woyome will not pay the money because he had a lot NDC hierarchy in his pocket including the sitting president himself. Also, something that should not exit our mind is the man in question is an Ewe and is purely entitled to the money. It is as simple as that.

It is unfortunate that the so called "Department of Justice" and the "Courts" seem to have turned blind eyes to the "Woyome" case. The fact is, President Mahama is not going to do anything about it because his administration and some very high officials of his administration may be incriminated along the line. Also, it is likely some Justices names may be mentioned as having played important role in the criminal act. However, I believe there are decent and no-nonsense Justice Department officials still working in the Department, I implore such officials to live up to their legal commitment to see to it that criminals are given fair and unbiased shake of the Law regardless of the person's political connections and social status.

In the first place there is no iota of truth whatsoever to the claim that Woyome ever confessed to the charges.For the benefit of our readers,I should like to dilate a little on the issue of confession in our laws.
A person who commits an of fence and arrested for court may may make a confession to the of fence and be dealt with in accordance with section 120 of the evidence Act,323,Act1975.The confession could be made at the Police enquiry stage in which case the law requires that such a confession ought to have been made in the presence of an independent witness for same to become binding on the accused.
The second aspect of a confession could be made by the accused in the presence of the Judge during his trial.He may simply say I committed the of fence and plead guilty.This is what the learned people will call"a plea of guilty".Even in the case of a plea of guilty,the court will not accept it and convict the accused if the of fence is one of those the law classify as serious of fences,such as murder,treason etc.In the cases of those offences the court will enter a plea of not guilty and proceed to try the accused.
Now the big question for Rockson is,which of the confessions stated above is founded on Woyome?.
In Ghana,our constitution provides that a person charged with an offence is presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court of competent jurisdiction.This time tested principle of law dates back to the beginning of creation when God gave Adam every opportunity to defend himself over the olive tree charge.
Please,Rockson,I wish to advise you to have some respect for our laws because the western laws are not superior than ours.Furthermore,I never pollute the minds of your readers in a matter in which you have no knowledge.And be informed that Ghanaians are well advanced and knowledgeable.

But when a person writes an article as this with the intention of citing violence by asking people to be up in arms then it is time to put people straight.

First and foremost one is innocent until proven guilty.

Rockson are you following the court case at all? You should make a point of coming to court or send someone to court and listen for yourself first hand rather than diluted information from the media who are not doing their job the way the should. So far, I haven't seen the media so an investigative piece by going round and asking very sensitive questions to get to the truth of the matter. They come to court and it is very sad that all the papers write the same article word for word.

Hold your piece until the courts have proven this case and then we will see how your articles will be structured.

This is not equalisation but why is Adofo not writing about the GNPC ship sale and how the proceeds were distributed????

Let us do things in the best interest of our nation Ghana and not in the interest of party.

It is time we berate parties for their wrong doings irrespective of whether we are members of that party or not.

Let members of NPP not point out the faults of NDC and cover up the faults of NPP. In the same manner let not the members of NDC pat themselves on the back for the right things and try to brush their wrongdoings under the carpet.

For Ghana to develop to the level it deserves to be after these many years of independence, all Ghanaians must seek the interest of the country and not their individual selfish interests.

Adofo write articles that are well researched and stop the insults of tribalism for we are one people.

If we are playing the tribal cards which is divisive, we should not cry foul when the white man plays his racism because they are all forms of discrimination.

Let us keep Ghana as a nation under God and remain God fearing.
