  Yes, that has been the case for centuries, but science marches on. There are now three diagnostic approaches evolving:
  (a) the analysis of spinal-tap CSF (cerebrospinal fluid) to detect protein biomarkers associated with a particular disorder. This is now feasible because mental illnesses have "chemical fingerprints" in the brain.
  
  (b) In the case of schizophrenia, neurophysiology (particularly Event-Related Potentials) is used. Patients tend to process certain auditory tones differently. So, the two-tone paradigm with P300 brain wave analysis is used to positively identify schizophrenics.
  
  (c) Magnetic Resonance Imaging: Functional-MRI is able to distinguish between patients with mood disoders (like bipolar, depression) and normal ones through frontal-lobe imaging.

  I am so concern about the absence of comprehensive health Ambulances and trained Paramedics in Ghana. We had prez Mills die in a pickup truck very sad. Many people die in taxis and tro-tro. We Ghanaians are asking for procurement of Ambulances and training facilities for Paramedics'. Parliament, Minister of Finance , Minister of Health please do something NOW. Please if you read this please copy and post it on your Facebook. Send a copy to the Ministry of Health and to Parliament. Their websites contact email address and ask them to procure and do something about this Immediately
