  You have a point but by beef is the tribal factor. A lot of the minority tribes just dont like NPP bercause its Ashanti-dominated out of jealousy and hatred which has arisen from the colonial past. Whether good whether bad I dont know. Kosi Kodem said in parliament in 1998 that EWES will like the WORST NDC govt than the best NPP govt anyday. With this unchristian and envious ideas in peoples mind Ghana is doomed. Remember Kofi Awoonor. Remember also that if GFA under Kufuor/NPP had scheduled the last Ghana/Egypt match on a MUSLIM holiday as NDC did last Tuesday, NDC would go to town that Kuffuor/NPP dont like Muslims. But NDC can do it freely, why?

Victor Owusu insulted the Ewes,Busia persecuted them , you rejoiced when Voltarinas drown or die, you gloat whenever an Ewe is involved in something and you call them names. K4 closed the Togo border in the elections but left the others open . read the writings and you vilify Ewes everyday so why do you expect them to vote for you Ken Agyepong declared genocide against Ewes and gas . That is why Nana is also not acceptable, He surrounded himself with tribalists and and violent people

  Why do Thompson's articles come up during the day, are put on top of the lot and the bottom ones pushed to the archives? Why not put Thompson's articles directly to the archives?

  Kwesi Agbenu, you need to extend your scope of reasoning. Even during the colonial era, I mean UGCC, NLM AND UP(ma te me ho) had Fantes/Akans, Gas, Northerners in their camps. The early formations were financially and politically, lead by the Fantes and the Ahantas and not the Asante/Akyems. It was after Paa Grant and co that JB Danquah and co started to play their dirty politics to satisfy their selfish /egotistical ends. Oh what about Nkrumah's CPP?. There were all representatives from all regions, districts, tribes and clans, males and females but it was not seen as TRIBALISTIC. Is the NDC, CPPP, PPP, NDP etc seen as Akan(Asante/Akyem) DOMINATED PARTIES? So why Ghanaians perception about NPP as an Akan party?
  But by the way, we are in a modern era and any good or dynamic organization must work seriously towards the present and the future

Noone is saying PNC is Northeners party despite the empirical evidence. The Asantes are powerful hence the clever way to cut them out. NPP is not petty as NDC to tag a party tribal to win votes

  You have hit the nail on the head and addressed a subject many are reluctant to tackle. For any political party to succeed and to enjoy the comfort of electoral success over the medium to long term, a one-nation approach which identifies the unity in our diversity and the richness of our collective cultural, educational and other natural attributes as a nation is essential.
  
  I still find it strange that when leadership struggles take place in the NPP, the protagonists always base their 'strengths' on two key pillars - "the Akyem" and "Asante" factions, as if the party is built only on these. It is a fallacy and a huge mistake which they need to learn from.
  
  The trouble with the NPP is that the issue is not that Ghanaians don't like the party, but rather that the party as constituted and currently run ALIENATES itself from We the People. But will they learn their lessons and heed your good advice?

  No party in Ghana has a monopoly over corruption. All the parties are inhabited by corrupt and sometimes down right incompetent personnel. The NPP however know how to cover their tracks better than the NDC.

  The NPP no doubt has intellectuals in their mist but they are few and far between. The majority of those who speak on behalf of the party are uncouth, vulgar, quarrelsome and have a violent streak. They never accept defeat gracefully. It is always a case of the world plotting against them and if they do not get their way, they are not far from threatening or using violence. That is the biggest turn off.
