INDISCIPLINE is the word. I'm a civil servant and I know people who have left for school for 3 years without even applying for study leave with or without pay but they have been receiving their pay all this while. Has the TUC ever conceded that workers have issues with their attitude to work and for that matter their outputs and tried to work on it or their work is simply to organize industrial actions? Even when the government and international agencies are all complaining about the wage bill, these union leaders cock their ears to still put pressure on government to increase the wage bill. These guys are acting based on selfish interest - ask not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country (John F. Kennedy)

Only heartless and selfish persons would agree with this writer. why, because compare the pay difference a labourer(120GHC) and a minister of state(7200GHC) plus car, per diem, family, rent allowances etc tops up to more than 12000GHC. are the two leaving on different planets? Frances? Why should only the low income earners do the sacrifice to clear gov't deficits? Besides, does the gov't listens to any language apart from strikes?

How could somebody waste time to sit down and write such long but empty scrap here? How do you condoned with a CIA agent who want our selfless and dedicated teachers leave our shores.
Ghana must watch all those supporting the moron Nunno Mensahs outrageous statement for it might be a diabolical CIA agenda against the nation.
Let this stick to the stinky heads of all those writing in supportive of Nunoo Mensah childishness including the so call "Doctor" security expert, Anning that the drafters of the national constitution in their wisdom of democratic expression made sure workers or any group in Ghana have the right to embark on a peaceful demonstration to drum home his case not necessarily going to the courts.
Just last weak teachers in the UK went on strike to demand better wages and services in face of the hard economy. No way anybody could imagine any politician disrespectfully saying same to the teachers as said by the bigot CIA agent, Nunoo Mensah and still be at his position. Never! that is respect in a civilized society!!!

Please be mindful of what you say. I am sure you have not observed that the only language that most governments fear is strike action. If workers do not put down their tools, how can the impact of their strike would be felt. If you are in the same shoe with those on strike you would have even done more than what they are doing. The government must try and do what is expected of him so that strike actions will be reduced or eliminated

When the Govt raised the allowances of MPs to over 70 million old Ghana cedis per month, it sent the wrong signals and marked the beginning of all these strikes. In Kenya, the MPS are being forced to reduce their salaries. Being in parliament whether as ruling or opposition should not give our MPs to heap a heavy load on poor tax payers and expect other workers to standby and fold their arms. This is where I fault the NPP MP, they quietly took their loot. Now they are toothless. They cannot talk.
