I have never voted for any party in Ghana before neither do Iive in Ghana. All the news I hear from Ghana comes from Ghana Web and MyJoyonline.

It was the NPP's own apostles in the media like Okoampa Ahoofe, Adofo Rockson, Akadu, Katakyie and co that had inform a person like me that the NPP is an Akan party looking for the interest of Akans.

They have on many occasions through thier articles expressed their hatred for minority tribes especially Ewes whom they consider a stubling block in their path to power.

These supremacist have written many articles and reinforced the message time after time again. May be you need to check with them and come back.

Is it not wondrous to you that these bigots turn round to accuse those they daily vilify, demonise, insults and victimise when they get the least chance of spear-heading the "anti-Akan" illusory image against them when their calumnious actions and words are pointed out to them?

You are indeed right that Ewes are their main target, with "Northerners" added lately. I have often provided evidence of how it all started in the late 1960s, when Busia and his Progress Party brought into the Ghanaian body politic the traditional anti-Ewe prejudices held by Akans against Gbedema's NAL. That was what the late Prof. Awoonor decried in his The Ghana Revolution of 1984 and they have turned round to be accusing him of being a tribalist! Yes, just like some of us are accused of being envious of them when we challenge them. Envious of what? When we are the ones accused of monopolising all the PLOMB jobs, being all of Mills Ministers according to Akadu, and what not?

You see, when their virulent bigotry, ethnic prejudice, envy and warped images to make even white racists ashamed are pointed out to them, they turn round to claim the victims and those amongst them who are troubled to speak the truth are indulging in "anti-Akanism" to the benefit of the NDC! Are there not a multitude of people from the Akan ethnic stock in the NDC too?

Out of the 5 regions with an Akan majority, did they not win only 2? So which Akans are the NDC people against, when the NDC is also Akan dominated? My friend, the problem is with the virulent and venomous bred I've been referring to as "These Akans" found mainly in the PP/PFP/NPP tradition. They comprise largely of some Asantes and their hangers-on from their former areas of dominance, i.e., the vassal states of the old Asante Kingdom! They are found in all the five regions the Akans dominate and the northern part of the VR. I shall soon deal with them in full properly!

Ewes apparently have a long standing history of hidden animosity towards Ashantis, this sort of life should have dissipated by now in such an advanced and civilized modern world. Gas are passive citizens, and just get along with everybody at their own peril, Northerners have developed some sort of "the oppressed" or "underprivileged" syndrome. Now that President Mahama who happens to bear a Northern heritage is in power, so many ignorant comments have surfaced about our Northern brothers and sisters. This shows clearly how insensitive and distrustful people can be. What is so wrong about an accomplished citizen winning an election to become President of the Nation, why are we so ignorant. Leave the man alone to finish his term.

Secondly, Fantis, Akuapims and Twi speaking Ghanaians along the coast and upper eastern region do not all exibit those hegemonic characteristics embedded in certain other groups, so it would be utterly disingenuous for anyone to constantly invoke any National hatred towards AKANS. Many people along the coast are inter-related, there are millions of Mixed-Ethnic Ghanaians, stop arousing our sensibilities!!!

If you really know the history of Gold Coast/Ghana, you won't make such an ill-informed statement. Long before our independence, the Anlos, who had always been part of the Gold Coast, have moved to work in the Ashanti hinterland. You do not go to work among a people if you have a "hidden animosity" towards them. Today, these Anlos are still living there. Historically too, the Anlos have been war allies of the Ashantis. You do not become an ally of a people if you have a "hidden animosity" towards them!

The northern Ewes have also been near the Akyems, Kwahus, and by extension, the Asantes, for a long time. Today, much of the culture of these people is influenced by the culture of the Akans which they picked up during the wars the Asantes and Akyems fought in the area. They have also moved to the Gold Coast to work there even before our independence when TVT joined Ghana. You do not go and work among a people if you have a "hidden animosity" towards them. You do not take a people's culture if you have a "hidden animosity" towards those people. After independence, when parties based on tribes were banned, these northern Ewes teamed up with the Akyems and Asantes to form the UP, the major opposition to Nkrumah. These northern Ewes voted for Danquah in his failed presidential bids. You do not team up with a people if you have a "hidden animosity" towards them.

Today, politicians are exploiting the ethnic divisions among us for their own private ends. Do not mistake this for people having "hidden animosities" towards others. And do not even say this so-called animosity is "long standing". Perhaps you were born yesterday.

If you are really the tribe-less one, you won't try to perpetuate a falsity about our various ethnic groups.

Conferring upon itself as the party of intellectuals would not change a damn thing. There have been more thieves in the NPP's 8 years under Kufour than at any time in Ghana's history. There has been more bloodshed under the J.J. Rawlings era than anytime we can call peace time in Ghana. The only one thing the NPP are good at is white color crimes where they remove every trace or footprints to their criminal activities including taking home all document relative to government contracts.
The none thought provoking statements by some who think Ashantis have the rights or destined to be rulers in Ghana and thus others should not be in the office of the presidency only exposes the ignorance of people who continue to live in uncivilized era in the history of Ghana when people believed in their voodoo nonsense. I challenge them to try and stop bullets with all the superior crap. In fact they should look at why Ghana was a British colony if there were fearless, amazing and great warring forefathers and mothers. It is time the nonsense of Akans and Fantis and all others stopped and gave way to serious thinking. If Ghana can have Chinese and or India take over development projects in our own land, sitting as a Ghanaians anywhere and yapping foolishness only solidifies or bring credence to long held belief we lack the intellectual capacity to self rule.

NPP a great party! Great party my foot!!! THERE IS NO GREAT PARTY IN GHANA! Both major parties in Ghana today are made up of the same self-seeking stomach politicians. It is the same with NPP as it is with NDC.

Ghana has had only ONE great party. That was Nkrumah's CPP. A party that was truly national in character and whose leader had the improvement of the whole Ghana as his goal. No party since then has come anywhere near that great ideal.

It is only small-minded parties that fight over Akan dominance or Ewe dominance or whatever.

I don't see how any well-meaning Ghanaian will attach himself or herself to any of NPP or NDC.
