  It is unconscionable for rural folks who do not enjoy the benefits of electricity to be subsidizing folks who turn on air conditioners in their homes and leave their doors and windows ajar in the cities. But because the city dwellers have access to the news media they make a lot of noise.
  Again it makes no sense for people who have no pipe borne water in their villages to be subsidizing water for city dwellers.
  But that, sadly, is the plight of the cocoa farmers in Sehwi and elsewhere. Even their rivers have been polluted !!
  This rejoinder is not to encourage chop chop.

  my electric last month in usa from co-op was $45(90 cedi) for 283 kilo watt hours post paid... Petro is currently $3.15 per gal in south or $3.50 per gal(4 liters) in New York City! Even my pipeline natural gas to heat my home and heat my water was only $40 due to weather warm last month..Most what happens in Ghana(and europe) high tax's are added to petro to force people to take bus's and subway(tube) trains.. Why should the people of Ghana pay more for petro than americans when the tanker has to travel for 5 week to get to america? when the trip to Ghana from nigeria would only be days for crude oil!

  facts well presented. This government needs to do more. All they want is post and money. A common assembly man want to be called "honourable" as well as ministers who produce nothing but junks.

Meanwhile we are asked to keep on tightening our belt. My belt is even dividing my upper body from my lower body but i am still called to keep tightening till i break and fall off.
