  its amazing that john mahama/attamills govt for d past five years have only indulged in serious looting and waste of public funds without thinking one minute about the repercurssions.....how cld this present ndc dubiously dole out gargantuan payments to cronies and criminals to the tune of one billion dollars without disturbing the economic foundation of ghana......and how cld this ndc criminally build six classroom blocks at around 350,000 ghc each as opposed to the npp building same at 80,000 previously.....then how could this ndc overspend the 2012 budget to the tune of 8.7 billion dollars just for john mahama to win elections and yet they expect the economy to remain resilient......then look at gyeeda, sada, rlg-zoolion-ndc collusion to drain the state of scarce hard cash and yet they expect the economy to remain resilient......and how on earth cld they allow small boys like okudzeto ablakwa to dubiously negotiate fake jdebts for cronies and to even demand 1.5 billion dollars for africa auto ltd.......listen to what eddie annan is demanding from AMA as if govt has not owed anybody before, like our numerous contractors who have not been paid for years now........JOHN MAHAMA DOES ALL THIS AND EXPECT THE ECONOMY TO REMAIN RESILIENT?........THIS IS VERY STRANGE AND EVEN A KID KNOWS SUCH PRACTICES WILL CERTAINLY DESTROY WHATEVER ECONOMIC FOUNDATIONS WE HAD...NOT EVEN THE GREAT USA CAN SURVIVE SUCH EXTREME MISUSE, THIEVERY, BROAD DAYLIGHT ROBBERIES. BUT NDC AND JOHN MAHAMA THINK GOVCE IS ONLY TO DO WITH ide biiiiii keke with mouth twisting slogans whilst deepening the poverty of fantis, ewes, northerners who are the poorest in ghana and expect the ndc govt to better their lot ....yes the very ndc govt which is so busy neglecting their strongholds of the ewes, fantis and northerners despite the huge vote ndc enjoyed from them........and worst of all this is the fact that john mahama is deeply involved in all of the crimes listed above so he has no authority to deal with anybody involved.....even woyome cld warn john mahama about who to appoint or not.........WE DESERVE PITY AND CONSIDERATION FROM JOHN MAHAMA BCOS HE IS THE VERY PERSON CAUSING OUR PROBLEMS NEEDLESSLY...ide biii

  The problems we are facing as a country is caused by we the citizens. Our moral compasses are degraded to the highest extent thus, when we acquire official positions, we corrupt the whole system. We refuse to pay our bills, make illegal connections and cry foul when the service providers increase our tariffs. It would not surprise me if a large number of the people who are crying about the state of the economy are people who do not pay taxes, are connected illegally to electricity, or have tampered with their meters etc. We are supposed to be our own checks and balances and not the authorities only. The authorities are also naturally filled with the same kind of morally lacking personnel so the problem will persist until we instill some sense of moral accountability.
  What really disgusts me is the attitude some people adopt by saying, "that is how the system is so you have to adapt to it". Who do you expect to make the changes for you?

  Corruption has reached an alarming level in mother Ghana.In fact this NDC government is squarely to be blamed for this mess.The amount of money used to pursue re-election was one big corrupt undertaking by any standard.We all took notice of big sums of contract monies for school buildings.Units that cost 80,000 cedis in NPP period suddenly jumped to 160,000 and later over 200,000.Every Tom,Dick and Harry suddenly became a building contractor in NDC with some winning the orders and selling them to others.All sectors of government recorded deficits in their finances because of corrupt practices bestowed on them by this government.Monies were just siphoned away to help Mahama re-election no matter what.In fact nothing was of importance other than keeping Mahama on the seat.The resulting problem is what we are witnessing.Debt,that no one can explain or point to anything that could be shown for.So many taking cue of this realized a new found freedom to amass wealth to the detriment of mother Ghana.The corruption is simply dripping from the top and can be stopped only from there.

  Ghana has everything going for it to be a remarkable jewel in Africa. Hard working, innovative, determined and educated people. Enormous reserves of natural resources, relative peace within its borders and admiration across the world. But it is let down by those who have worked their way into positions of authority in the public realm. Rather than seeing themselves as public servants, they have reversed the concept and see the public as serving them. I have observed it in every petty local and national government office across Ghana. Beaurocrats who abuse their positions by being obstructive, corrupt and plain difficult. And it is always the poorest who suffer. Those with no position or power who are humiliated, told to wait and do not have the means to grease the outstretched palm. It is killing Ghana. There is no accountability for all those who hold any public office. It is and will continue to cause your downfall. Shame on Ghana. May God grant you the resolve to challenge the status quo.

  Corruption is the bane of the Ghanaian society. Corrupt practices like this are the reason Ghana has the dubious distinction of being ranked third in the world by Gallup among 129 perceived corrupt countries. Corruption is ingrained in the Ghanaian psyche and culture. People are will to pay to gain favors. Civil servants are always looking for favors just to perform their duties. Chiefs are also looking to accept drinks (schnapps) from their subjects who stop by to pay homage. Nowhere in Ghana can someone conduct a business without having to grease somebody’s palms. To at least attempt to minimize corruption in the country, the government should create a hot line where whistleblowers can report these practices to the authorities. The whistleblower should be at least rewarded through an incentive program. Programs like these are but minor steps toward eventually stamping out corruption.

Then GEEYDA and all the corrupt practices that go on every day. Remember Wayome getting millions for no work done. That is NDC model as spelled by the Chief justice"create, loot and share and the president looks the other way. And whem Amidu tries to stop it they fire him . So leave the Headmasters alone. When the poeple in govt. sets a good example others will follow. It is only under NDC govt that this rut stinks to high heaven. You watch, they will rule for so many years and they will have nothing to show for it, Thieves and bandits and murderers is what you get under NDC govt. from Rawlings to Mills to Mahama.
