According to your stupid assertion, Upper West region only brought about 3% of the total NDC votes, ask yourself how many people from that region are in govt? The president's own region brought only 9%, I guess if we go by wisdom, he doesn't deserve to be in post, nor should his region have the most representation in govt.

Stupid, bloated forking sense of entitlement that's bringing the damn country backwards. We don't care where the hell the Chief of Staff comes from as long as he performs his duty as the forking gatekeeper of the administration, ask the real people of the Volta region who understand the inner workings of govt and they will tell you that most of the lapses and shortcomings of govt is due to the ineffectiveness of Bani, who doesn't have the requisite experience in politics.

He might go down as the most ridiculous of all of Mahama's uninformed appointments, but I guess you don't give a hoot, as long as you have a warm body placeholder from Kpando (Volta) right?

He taught for a decade training journalists at the Institute of Journalism then did 2 masters degrees in The Hague and Austin Texas before joining the United Nations working for 18 years in crisis situations from Tajikistan to being in charge of Africa at the Bureau of Crisis Prevention (UNDP). He was responsible for introducing the Small Arms Prevention Program here in Ghana in the mid 2000s alongside the rest of the continent.

You do realize that he is the one responsible for uncovering all the tax evasion and fraud cases that the last 2 administrations FAILED to grapple with right?

So get your facts straight before slandering the man.

The point I made which must be emphasized here is that we have to stop playing this divisive tribal card. Rather, we must target the integrity and capacity of these appointees. Their ability and capacity to work efficiently should be prime in any discussion.

By the way, some of us are not enthused by tall and long degrees. After all, the educated and intellectual wing of the nation has been in control of the nation's affairs since independence and the pathetic record is there for all to see. If you are intimidated by Prosper Bani's educational background, I am not. I am looking for a Chief of Staff who can stop the bleeding going on in this country. A chief of staff who is apt enough to deal with this infamous Vickyleak scandal.

Please, you don't want us to go deeper into Prosper Bani's activities at the U.N. You don't.

We have a nation to build and we must endeavor to build it properly.

Are we to measure the performance of persons with Regions. I am also from V Region and I hereby condemn this action from my citizens. We Voltarians must be aware that our people dominate in the NDC govt so we should be prepared to accept that Volta region appointees will be affected in any NDC analysis more than any region. For instance, I dont expect that many Ashantis will be affected in any accountability tests conducted on the NDC govt. But many Voltarians will naturally be affected in such event. To explain away that Voltarians are then being harrassed is an insult to natural justice. SHUT UP. Shut up Volta Region Young Turks Federation
