  Yet still our culture revolves around our chiefs.
  We should make the chieftaincy a better institution and not destroy it.

  Thieftaincy, sorry chieftaincy can be modernized to work better in Africa than the white man's type of democracy we are practicing today. Also, the white man's useless religion and the hopeless Arabs religion we practice in Africa coupled with corruption by politicians and pastors have crippled the continent into a 4th world place to live in.

In fact any Ghanaian gov't who is serious in tackling corruption should start by abolishing the most corrupt institution in Ghana.

  I have not said we must drop democracy and return to our old "traditional monarchy". Our past governments from the pre-independence time to the First Republican time have run Western democracy alongside chieftaincy. The British called the marriage between our old Native Administration and the Western system of administration "Indirect Rule".
  
  When Nkrumah was going to Hanoi as President of Ghana for the last time, it was a Paramount Chief that he appointed to stand in for him. Our Council of State has always included chiefs. So, we have been using chiefs all the time.
  
  WHY DON'T WE "MODERNISE" IT AND GIVE IT A PRPERLY DEFINED ROLE, ESPECIALLY IN AT THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT LEVEL.

  Ghana's problem has nothing to do with our chiefs but our foolish and useless politicians who are stealing and pushing whatever they can lay their hands on through their nose, mouth and wherever.
  
  Imagine the naked robbery going on under this administration, who should be blamed? Our Chiefs and for what reason? Woyome, Isofoton, Gyeeda, Subah and the rest, how many chiefs are directly involved?
  
  Kwasi Pratt does not know where he came from hence his senseless attacks on our chiefs the custodians of our culture, tradition and heritage. If our chiefs are managing the affairs of Ghana, I swear that they would do a far better job than these useless and uncouth politicians who care less about the nation.
  
  There are bad people everywhere and that should not be a recipe to attack the entire Chieftaincy institution.
