…still going stronger

Hip Hip Hip … Hurray

Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak is today 102 years and

on this special Monday, we take the opportunity of the day November 11 to wish

all Phobians well and success in all their endeavours.

Today, we salute the founding fathers of this great

football club that has given us joy and happiness.

We appreciate the efforts of all players and

officials of the club throughout these glorious years. From the classic and

fantastic chairmen to the hard working secretaries and executives to the

coaches, masseurs and ball boys, we say ayeekoo.

Nobody has served Hearts of Oak and regretted. For

sure there would be good times and bad occasions, but the Phobian spirit lives

on and gets stronger.

For records in football, Hearts have done what

champions all over do. They are the Continental Club Masters because after

winning the first league in Ghana in 1958, Hearts have conquered Africa in 2000

and 2004, winning the African Champions League and the African Super Cup.

Hearts of Oak were rated as the 8th best

football club in the world, because they play real real good football.

Throughout the century and two years, Hearts of Oak

has produced some wonderful players. The list is endless, but there are some

super stars and legends who can never be forgotten like Ackon Duncan, George Alhassan,

Kofi Bruce, Osei Kofi, Chris Briandt, Amusa Gbadamoshie, Addo Odametey, Anas

Seidu, Mama Acquah, Ofei Ansah, Hesse Odamtten, Mohammed Polo. Robert Foley,

Robert Hammond, Tetteh Chandu, Joe Ghartey, Ben Kayode, Adolf Armah, Douglas

Tagoe, Joe Amoateng, Baba Gambo, Kingston Asabire, Opoku Afriyie, Joe Addo,

Shamo Quaye, Sam Johnson, Ezekiel Alamu, Eben Dugbatey, Ablade Kumah, Santrofi

Acquah, Henry Acquah, Nii Noi dowuona, Jacob Nettey, Ishmael Addo, Charles

Taylor, Emmanuel Osei Kufuor, Lawrence Adjah Tetteh, Edmund Copson, Joseph

Tagoe aka Bobby Short, Robert Saba, Christian Saba, Samuel Afum, Obed Ansah, Mahatma

Otoo, Winful Cobbina, Sellasi Adjei and Abubakari Moro.

The past, current and even future players of Accra

Hearts of Oak have been real achievers, because the never say die until the

bones are rotten. Hearts of Oak has a sound solid foundation which needs solid

structures to prove to the world that there was and there is still the great

champion club of Ghana and Africa call Accra Hearts of Oak.

Hearts supporters are scattered all over Ghana and

beyond, unlike other clubs whose fans are mostly based at the home of the club.

As the game changes from Amateur to Professional, so

Hearts of Oak management and administration is changing from better to best.

The season is just started and Hearts have vowed to

add 2013/14 to their collection of Ghana League titles.

For publicity, Hearts have enjoyed most, even with

this great media, the New Rainbow Sports.

We once again say congratulations to the founding

fathers and those who have steered the club from levels to heights.

Way Hearts! PHOOOBIA
